Spring Ridge is a really good community for the family. My family and I have felt right at home here. Pet friendly, clean, and in continuous development, Spring Ridge is great if your looking just a nice community to settle in. My only thing would be to include more fun community engagement activities for the new residents, as I have not seen that since my family and I moved here. Overall, good place to live.

Great place for small parties. Today we had Food trucks fun. BBQ was good & Ice Cream truck with nice treats. It was fun even though the Taco truck didn't show up, it was their loss.

I want to clear up somethings another person mentioned in their review. Yes, the HOA is pretty strict but they want the community to look nice, not trashy. Because many people in this community are renters, they have to be strict. We all know renters have a bad rep for taking care of a house because it's not necessary theirs. I have received letters about my lawn and driveway for the first year, I haven't got one ever since! By the way, I have never received a fine for anything they sent me a letter for. I think they just do it to all renters and new homeowners. The comment someone else wrote about using a certain company to put a fence is total bull. I put up a fence just as anyone else in this county would, the only thing was that it had to be white vinyl. I chose my fence style and height. You will need approval from the HOA before doing so and that took months! My neighbors said they had no problem when they submitted their application though. I have removed trees in my front yard and pulled out all my bushes with no problem and didn't need approval. Basically they don't care if your'e trying to better your lawn but do care about it looking trashy. Every rule has its benefits. I have lived here for over 2 years now and I will admit I was a bit skeptical about moving here because of the area surrounding it but it is no different than living in any other community in this county. One plus is that it is a smaller community and there's hardly anyone at the pool or gym and walks are peaceful. Overall the people here are kind. I have great neighbors on both sides of me and in front. I originally moved here as a single person with no children, only dogs. It really is a great place for people like me. More currently I am seeing someone and will probably move to a more fitted atmosphere to raise kids in. Although I feel safe here, I would prefer more privacy and a large yard for my dogs and for kids to play in. I'm not at all fond of the parents who let their kids play in the streets. I am happy here and wouldn't have any intentions to move if I didn't plan to expand. Lots of single parents and elderly couples live here. Many of the renters are young but cause no issues. I here it's pretty pricey to rent in this community so you don't get the same type of people you would at any of the apartment complexes around because the majority of the local apartments are low income based. Hope this helps!

Spring Ridge subdivision residents please be aware that on Wednesday the 22 of June between the hours of 1am and 5am 2 expensive golf carts were taken from 2 homes in the Brookridge subdivision. These carts were smashed thru the back gates by the schools. Spring Ridge surveillance video shows 2 carts coming thru the gates using a gate code. The thieves were wearing ski masks..Any information leading to the arrests of these individuals will be rewarded with 500 dollars. Please help... call the Hernando County Sherriff's department..thank you

The HOA are nazi's. I understand having rules for the neighborhood but they take their authority too far. We've lived here for 2 years and since day one we've had a lawn swing in our front yard where my fiancé breast feeds our daughter while our son plays outside so she has somewhere relaxing to sit. They have now told us we have to get rid of it. You cannot have any sort of basketball hoop on your property at all or pretty much anything that involves things children can play with. Not family friendly at all and they specifically target and harass renters. Our neighbors got a letter about having a couple patches of dirt in their grass and pretty much stated the grass wasn't green enough in nicer words so they have to fix that. You can only trim your trees a certain way and you can't trim them more than 8 feet from the ground. Stupid rules like that. I would not suggest living here. They do not seem to care about the healthy lifestyle our children should grow up in and they do not promote being active outside apparently. You cannot own a car that will not fit in your garage as well. You can't put a fence up unless it is done by one specific company and one specific type of fence. This is just a couple things that come to mind but there is much more they'll target you for. I cannot wait to move out of here. If I could give this zero stars I would.
