Light City Solar met all of our needs and expectations which their competitors either wouldn’t or couldn’t do (we got designs and bids from two other companies). They were prompt, thorough, and had us up and running much faster than we expected. Competitively priced and even added insulation to our attic at no additional charge. We are looking forward to many years of energy savings!

The process of going solar has been super easy. They quoted us and showed us how much money we’d save. They came and installed extra insulation in one day which actually made a noticeable difference in our home temps by itself. Then the panel install team was prompt and professional, done in one day. From start to finish, the the whole process took about 3weeks. Most of this occurred while I was ant work and my wife was working from home. All the staff had been super friendly and professional, and she felt safe to work at home alone. Would recommend Light City to all my neighbors

Just wrapped up our solar install with Light City. They were great start to finish. Communication was always there. Techs arrived on time every time. The job was finished within their estimations. Really smooth process. We definitely recommend their services

Looks like other's are being solicited by this company as well. A kid didn't approach my door once, but twice. I have two no soliciting signs meaning, don't approach. I tracked him down to the neighbor across the street, who has a no soliciting sign. He said he'd take me off the list. How about just not coming to our doors with no soliciting signs, genius.

Deceptive sales. Was promised a lot of low numbers for my bill without changing my spending habits. Not only am I paying more for everything. The solar system installed is actually too small to even come close to obtaining the number I was promised. What a scam. I will be seeking legal action if these solar panels and loan is not taken care of.

Your response below is false. I have never used energy during peak times. In fact I cut back my pool pump to only three days a week from 9am to 4pm. You gave numbers based on 50/50 peak and off peak usage. Historically I use 72% of my energy during off peak. So you overinflated the “savings” estimates. If you would read and respond to my attorney general information you will see the attached spreadsheets and see how much research I have done this time around. Also your business in corporate commission is showing inactive, and yet a sales rep of yours showed up at my door last month. lol. I have ran my information through reputable solar companies that said I completely got screwed. Don’t tell me you care about the consumer. You have zero integrity to look at me in my eyes and shake my hand telling me I’m going to lower my monthly expenses. I have 20 panels on my roof that are saving me an average of $60 a month. ($2 dollars a day!) But because I am saddled with a $185 solar loan payment, my monthly expenses increased. And these numbers are based on the last six months. Which as you know are the “non peak” months. Also quit sending every phone call directly to voicemail followed by an automated text response. You wouldn’t be dodging your customers would you? Not like you have anything to hide right? It’s a shame that business people like you are out there claiming to be honest and care about your reputation. Your reputation is built on YOUR actions. Not my google review. If anyone ever wants information outside of this review I am more than happy to share my experience.

I told a rep a couple months ago that I was not interested and to take me off their list, someone came to my door a few days ago and said, "Hey we know you said that you weren't interested, but here I am trying to sell you on solar (because I am a better seller than the other person)." We spoke for about 20+ minutes about how I wasn't interested. Tried to butter me up with sales tactics about how I am a smart guy and a financially responsible person yada yada.

It doesn't make sense that you are saying that you can install solar with little to no cost to the owner. Invest it back into my home with upgraded insulation (which again only benefits the solar because my home would be more "efficient"). On top of that put a marketing sign on my property to advertise to my neighbors.

Supposedly I own the panels, How do I own the panels then? I still sign a contract saying I will pay you an X amount of dollars to you. Which sounds like a PPA. This is a variable payment based on my previous usage. Unless you are giving me money for real estate on my roof, then the ownership isn't me, it's you Light City Solar. If it is a PPA then I do not get any tax credits.

For any future customers out there, if you are truly the owners of your solar panels you should be getting credits for the excess you put back into the energy grid. If you are paying a company you are in a contract and you do not own your panels. Maybe once the contract is up but that is anywhere from 10-25 years.

If you pay me to have solar on my roof then we can talk. Please don't send anyone to my home.

Best of luck to you and your customers

We were in market for solar but never meshed with the right person/company until we met Nick with Light City Solar and made the process simple and easy. They are a company that has been around for awhile, answered all our questions we had, and provided information that other companies never told us. There was zero pressure and no rush. Once we decided to move forward the process was extremely fast and organized.

Relentless, unprofessional sales people. Jayson with Light City Solar will not let up and leave us alone. It's been almost a year and despite declining the service and asking to be taken off of his contact list (and him affirmatively replying he would) he calls and texts me anyways. Usually first thing in the morning. Your company needs better soliciting policies.
