We had Sunline put in a small 2.8KW system, plus Tesla PowerWall, in our house in Mission Valley.
Everyone at Sunline; from the sales team to the Inspections team; were truly polite, responsive, and a sincere pleasure to work with and do business with.

I do also want to give a huge shout out to Sunline Instillation Team #1. Having Henry, Allen, Jamie & Nawin; all working the install, made me extremely confident that the project was going to be performed in a professional manner.
They were all true craftsmen.

In conclusion, a very positive experience with Sunline, throughout the process.

My only lesson learned that is worth mentioning in the review: SDG&E has the vendor set up and lock your Powerwall so that it can be charged by solar only (you cannot charge off of the grid). This unfortunately will NOT allow you to charge during the super off peak rate (from midnight to 6 am) for use on a cloudy or winter day… So you could end up occasionally paying SDG&E’s exorbitant rates under NEM-3.

We just had Sunline put solar panels on our house and we are very very happy with the work. Team 1 is #1! Allen, Nawin and Jaime were the crew and they came on time, were respectful, answered any questions and cleaned up. Allen made sure I knew everything that needed to be done and was done correctly. THE WHOLE STORY (truthfully)
It could’ve been 10 years ago that I decided to interview five different solar panel companies. I was brutally honest with my reviews of all five. The company that really start stood out is the one that I hired, Sunline Energy. Matt, the young owner of this new company was the one that came to my house. I was blown away. He easily gave the most knowledgeable and professional presentation. I was really impressed by him.

NOW, April 2024, I needed to address the leaks in my roof caused by the recent storms we’ve had. When I started looking for roofing contractors, Sunline Energy was listed. I knew my solar panels would need to be removed in order to install the new roof so I decided to speak with Sunline. And then it started. Since the team that came out to review the job were friendly and professional I decided to hire Sunline Energy. Within the next couple of weeks the job started.
* The Solar division crew removed my solar panels. They neatly stacked the solar panels in my backyard and the entire work area was left spotless.
* Then a large roofing crew would arrive daily for about a week and exactly on time every day. When they would leave, their clean up was truly impressive. They finished the roofing job more quickly than they had promised.
* Then solar crew #1 arrived and in one day reinstalled the entire solar system again. The only thing they left was a beautiful new roof and a fully functioning, solar panel system that has saved me thousands of dollars.
* I made a very special request from Erin that was health related. He actually made my request a priority and was genuinely concerned about meeting my needs!

The five star reviews are no joke. Matt, the impressive, young owner from number of years ago has grown Sunline Energy into one of the most impressive area businesses that I’ve encountered. I wholeheartedly recommend and encourage you to check out Sunline Energy if needing either solar or roofing work.

I picked Sunline Energy for my solar project because of their fantastic reviews; and they did not disappoint! I'm giving them an A+++ because they delivered as promised. Fortunately, I was grandfathered under NEMs 2.0, so am able to take advantage of the much more favorable rules for energy exportation to the grid. I'd like to give a shout-out to the professionalism of the entire Sunline team from start to finish.

Gavin of the sales team provided an in-depth analysis of what my 14 panels would generate in energy compared to my yearly consumption at that point. Cost and projection sold me on the project--not to mention the 30% federal tax credit on next year's taxes. Since my clay tile roof is 37 years old, I made the decision to re-roof at the same time as well. I got an excellent quote and gave the okay to proceed. Daniel, the roofing superintendent, answered all my questions about specs and so forth and sent a crackerjack roofing team to begin the project. David was the master roofer who had a new helper every day. And, believe me, David was an absolute expert at roofing. His attention and care to detail was simply amazing. His helpers were aspiring career roofers; I found them to be polite, engaging and fun to be around. My compliments to Alex, Manuel, Matthew, and Elmer...

Next, the solar team of at least a half a dozen men showed up midway through the project, and expertly installed the panels all in one day. I especially enjoyed working with the electrician, Daniel, who took a lot of pride in his workmanship and design of the conduit route to the control box. Javi, a personable young man from Sunline then coordinated with the county for final inspection--which, of course, passed. The icing on the cake was provided by two gentlemen, Da Muy and Mohammed Fall who showed up a few days later to clean the solar panels in order to maximize the energy production. Of course, they did a great job!

And finally, a big shout-out to Erin, who coordinated the entire project from Sunline headquarters. She was extremely knowledgeable, patient and helpful to me--always to getting back in a timely manner with my myriad questions throughout the project. I'm grateful for all her help. All in all, expectations were greatly exceeded; the Enphase app shows daily through charts and graphs my consumption and energy generation. Quite happy with the results!!!

I have been impressed with Sunline Energy from start to finish. I set up an appointment for an estimate and Matthew sat down with me in June and went over all options. He was knowledgeable and listened to my concerns and questions. I signed a contract and made a deposit.

Liz was the project manager who made sure everything was scheduled, including surveys installation and inspection. Liz scheduled us for installation in August but got our project going even earlier when an unexpected vacancy came up on Sunline's installation schedule.

Mike was the final person who brought the project to final completion ahead of schedule. There was an unexpected glitch in the San Diego Gas & Electric (SDG&E) inspection and approval process. Mike not only got everything corrected, but he also got the final permission to operate our Solar Power System from San Diego Gas & Electric days earlier than expected!

I tried to work with a different Solar Power Company before turning to Sunline. The other company quoted a higher price for fewer solar panels and warned about probable added expenses once the project was in progress. I signed a contract, put down a deposit, and then that company stopped answering my emails, texts, and phone calls. I fired them and got my deposit back. That was a blessing in disguise. Sunline installed more solar panels for a significantly lower price than quoted by the other company. Sunline always answered all my communications quickly. There were no unexpected expenses. The price quoted stayed the same from start to finish. I am incredibly pleased with Sunline Energy.

Months later the system is working fine and saving me a lot of money!
