A must-see near Aptos. A very peaceful, beautiful place full of very spiritual things to experience. Parking is very limited, so I suggest an early morning visit to ensure you're able to see everything. The road leading to this place is windy and narrow. Was so glad to share this experience with my daughter. Happy to see a place sharing so much love and light encouraging change throughout the world. There is a small gift/book shop. Please note and be respectful that this is a resort and some may be practicing meditation and quiet times as you are visiting.

My family and I had a great time exploring the Land of Medicine Buddha. This area was the start of our 8-mile hike, and it was cool to see all the different prayer wheels, living dorms, and sacred rocks! I didn't know too much about Buddhism before, but there were lots of informational signs that explained the different mantras and it was nice to learn more. Check this place out! Free parking at the bottom of the hill, too

This is a place where you make friends with your mind. The retreat is located amidst grand trees, and quiet hills. Peace reigns supreme here. The prayer room has ornately carved statues of the Buddha, in meditative sitting postures and water offering bowls. Come here, and find freedom from your burdens.

As soon as I arrived, I felt an immediate sense of calm wash over me—perfect for anyone seeking spiritual reflection or just a peaceful break from everyday life.

The grounds are absolutely stunning, with well-maintained hiking trails that lead you through towering trees, prayer wheels, and beautiful Buddhist statues. The chanting of mantras and the sound of wind in the trees create a deeply calming environment. The Eight Verses Pilgrimage Loop was particularly moving, with thought-provoking teachings along the path that encourage mindfulness and compassion.
