Best in-depth knowledge on energy efficiency in the state, especially what work qualifies for tax incentives. Very clear communication, great customer service. Added insulation to our basement and second floor which has kept those areas much warmer this winter! Hope to circle back with them for heating, cooling, and solar upgrades someday.

Working with Kevin Kane and Green Home Owners United LLC on our energy efficiency home improvements was an extremely positive experience. The communication, education, and support provided throughout the process was excellent, and we are not only very happy with the impact the improvements are already making (both for our bills and the environment), but with how Kevin worked with us to find solutions that matched not only our needs but our values. Our improvements included a new water heater, solar panels, and other internal upgrades such as duct insulation done in early 2021.

I am so happy and impressed with Green Homeowners United! They went above and beyond my expectations. My home is more energy efficient, better for the planet, helping my local economy. When I was told that Green Homeowners United was making it possible to make my home more energy efficient and to reduce its carbon footprint, I immediately signed up. I had been interested in the possibility of solar energy for my home for many years but had not known where to begin. Kevin Kane from Green Homeowners United directed me through the entire process, and it was very easy. He introduced me to a mortgage provider so that I could refinance my mortgage plus the costs of all of the energy improvements at a much lower interest rate and with lower monthly payments. At closing I received a check to pay for the entire costs of in home improvements and the installation of solar panels. Kevin did an energy assessment of my home and brought in a team to make it more efficient. He also recommended a solar energy company which provided a thorough evaluation and a financial analysis for my consideration. I live on a wooded lot and did not want to cut down any trees, and of course the panels will be covered with snow part of the year, but I decided that anything I could do to reduce my consumption of fossil fuels was a win for me and the environment. The panels have been up for less than a month so I have not seen a utility bill yet, but I love watching the app provided which shows how much energy the panels are producing in real time. I highly recommend this program to anyone who wants to increase the energy efficiency of their home and reduce their usage of fossil fuels. You will have excellent support, lower energy bills and a lower monthly mortgage payment.

The GHU team that insulated our basement this week was the most stellar group of professionals I've ever had the pleasure to meet. Contact begin with Kevin Kane, but then included Harrison Phillips who led a team of four insulation and foundation experts. Each of whom acted like a craftsman, working with extreme attention to detail. End result is a better insulated, better looking, more comfortable basement that is actually contributing to making our whole house more comfortable. Can't recommend GHB highly enough. When you add in some of the expert advice they freely offer, plus some of the extra work they do pro bono, I feel like they are definitely worth the money charged.
