Taylor Mills with Advancing Solar Solutions installed my Tesla Wall Connector and a sub-meter to qualify for the Appalachian Power EV off-peak plan. During the installation, he noticed problems with my NEMA 14-50 outlet. The previous electrician did not install a robust EV outlet, which had melted. He installed a robust outlet to fix that problem. He also guided me with the Appalachian Credit $500 rebate which I received several weeks later. Taylor was also helped set up the software. He is so knowledgeable! Months after installation, I had problems with Appalachian Power charging me incorrectly. He was instrumental in getting the problem corrected. To summarize, Taylor Mills is very knowledgeable and will go above and beyond to get your job done. I will always call on Taylor for any electrical work I need in the future!

Advancing Solar Solutions did an absolutely amazing job on my level 2 Tesla charger install. I'll be taking part in the AEP off-peak charging rebate ($16.3 cents/kWh to $11.6 cents/kWh) and they assisted me every step along the way.

Advancing Solar Solutions did an excellent job working with us to understand our solar panel system requests and explain our options. Taylor Mills came in person to evaluate our electrical system in contrast to some installers that say "things found later will be add-on costs" after you’ve signed a contract. Taylor then designed and with Chris Batton and their team installed our 52 panel 20.5 kW roof-mount system with superb workmanship and attention to detail! We choose to install as many panels as would fit on the part of our roof that had good sun exposure. The system started up in late June 2023. At seven months, the system is performing great and very close to Taylor’s predictions. Their quote was the lowest because they don’t spend on advertising as their customers spread the word.

Before solar, our all-electric house averaged $440 electric monthly bills that kept rising with each APCO rate increase. Once the panels started up, we were exporting power to the grid and built up a large kWh credit that yielded four months of just a $14 connection charge until winter weather arrived when daily production dropped. Even then, the bills were substantially less and we expect by March-April to be back to those $14 bills, this time likely for 10+ months! Notable is that with temperatures in the 20’s-50’s, for the past four sunny February days, the system has produced 100% of the power needed to run our house. Less hours of solar radiation are compensated with better panel conversion efficiency at lower ambient temperatures and less heat pump usage. We’re working on energy efficiency improvements so that we can hopefully bring yearly usage down to what our solar system can produce, so we have $14 bills year-round!

So glad we waited and got more than one opinion/estimate before installing solar. Taylor convinced me to go large, that we would not regret it...and it is true. They installed 40 420 watt panels on an adjustable ground mount array. The attention to detail on every aspect of the install is evident. Chris and Taylor care about the quality of their work, and use all quality, mostly American-made materials in their installation. We have no regrets! The money is well-spent, ticking off savings every day.
