Why is it nearly every time I call REC the call gets disconnected? I am put on hold or transferred and the call drops 95% of time!? This has been happening consistently for some time, why, and it never gets fixed—why? REC staff knows this is occurring too!! REC Management— If you can’t get your phones fixed properly how can you be trusted to deliver electricity, correctly? Get your phones fixed!!! SMH

It’s not my phone either!)

Not sure what has happened with this company over the last year or so....but nothing impressive. I no way am I referring to the linemen...they bust their backsides. I'm talking to whomever ever runs the outage maps, notifications or outages and the app. Nothing makes sense, information is way off. No matter how many times I contact them asking them to add my number to the app account, I still can't register an outage. Though I am on the account with my husband. We got power back last night but the app was stating we would have to wait another 2 hours. I'm not impressed with whatever is going on via those two aspects of this company. Linemen? You all rock. Office/tech people.....not so much

I just got off the phone with Charm. She truly has been amazing. She is well educated on how I can go about saving money on my bill. She was super sweet. She def. deserves a pay raise!!! I am very pleased with how my phone call went with her.

The worse company for billing. I’ve had this electric company for 1 year. Newly wed couple just moved into Beaverdam with 3 kids in this economic hardship. I was two weeks late to pay my bill and I had been making payments in good faith that everything was fine. Ring Camera shows someone from REC shutting off my electric. I called REC to let them know I just dipped into my savings (food for my children) to pay the rest of the bill. I explained I understand if I was over a month past due, but two weeks? In addition, they called me this morning at 9:00am and they still sent someone to turn off my electric less than that 24 hour notice.
This is a company that is in desperate need of money and will not work with the families in Hanover. Cannot feed my kids this week because of the greed, lack of compassion/understanding and empathy. They tell you on the phone as long as you call, they can make arrangements, but their arrangement was cutting off the power.

Been dealing with them for 8 years and we lose power just about every time it rains all day and there's a little bit of wind. Don't expect much linency when it comes to paying your bill either. Our powers out right now cause of the rain, but my parents who live 15 mins away and have dominion are just fine.

Unsure why there are so many people saying this is a terrible company? Only been a customer for a year but they always do a great job for my area. Also, we just lost power to a tree knocking out a power line and they had it restored in about 30 minutes. Great job team and THANK YOU! sorry you have to read so many ungrateful brats whining on here

Absolute garbage company. Been a customer for 7 years. They shut my electric off with no notice, then when im on the phone with them to get it turned back on, i get a "courtesy call" telling me my electric is in process of being shut off. $52 dollars for the guy to turn around 2 minutes away and turn it back on.

I don’t understand all the negative ratings!! I have been a customer of REC’s for many years & they have ALWAYS been good to me. They are quick to restore power when it goes down In a storm, we have not had 1 issue with them in 10 years & the customer service is far better than any other company I’ve dealt with in the past. I know for sure they help their customers in their time of need. My friend was laid off when the whole COVID-19 thing began & has had a really hard time getting a FT job. owes REC about $600 & they haven’t said a negative word to her, they have been kind, patient, and understanding. Most companies were willing to let her defer or skip a payment for a month or 2 at the most. REC has been the ONLY utility company willing to keep her service on regardless of the high balance. No one else is doing this I’ve heard her make the calls, pleading for 1 more week of cell service & electricity.
Thank you REC for being the type of Company that actually cares about it’s customers. I don’t know what my friend would have done without power, she has a kid!
