Update March 2025. You need to determine if you make enough income to have any tax benefit. I got only 1/3 of what the salesman told me I would get because I do not make enough. Do your homework before going with ION! If you are thinking about solar consider going with a CPS approved vender, or check out Vivint. We purchased our solar March 2024 and I am very disappointed on multiple levels with my purchase, I blame myself for not being better informed. In my now more informed opinion there are better deals than ION. The whole process went smoothly and each department handled each aspect of the installation very professionally. I do appreciate how good the panels look and how they took care to blend the wire conduits on the house.

There was 0 benefit in going solar. My sales rep Jack Harvey is a liar and i regret ever letting him step inside my home.

So far this experience has been bad.
I got 12 panels installed and they aren't even producing what i am consuming and originally they only wanted to set me up with 9 panels. The total price of this system was 26k. They told me, my price would be locked in for the entirety of the system 25 years, they also promised me i wouldn't be paying more in electricty, that was a total lie. You pay them back the total price of the system with an interest rate of 3.99% you then still have to pay your electric provider what you pull from the grid. Basically what your house consumes when the sun isn't out you pay for.

Adding December and January production, we were 70% dependant on the grid.

Besides the overpriced panels and shady practices, they will knock on your door despite having “No Soliciting” signs and lie to your face by claiming they are not trying to sell you anything. We have invited these guys into our house before, they are absolutely trying to sell you something.

Go with any another company. Other companies have more affordable panels, better service, and more ethical sales practices.
