The rudest people in customer service. My wife and I had to report an outage in our apartment complex and customer service was crap. Every person we spoke to acted like we were bothering them because they had to do their job. If we're paying for service, we as customers should never have to deal with piss-poor customer service.

They can pull money from your account in an instant. If for some reason they mischarge you and you need a refund, they will first offer credit on your next statement. If you want the cash, it will be mailed out the soonest Friday. It’s an insane concept that they cannot directly deposit the money they just pulled from the account. Don’t like it? Tough. They are the only power supplier, so go solar or generate your own electricity.

Scheduling is verry poor. I scheduled a disconnect/reconnect for a customers house to re build the service. I was told the line man would arrive between 8 and 10am. After calling multiple times and waiting for hours i was told by PEC dispatch that they never sent the request to dispatch after i already had the customers panel demoed. Its 98° today and the customer has been without power for 9 hours due to PEC not sending the order to their dispatch. And i ended up having to work a 11 hour day on a job that should have taken 6 hours. PEC please get your stuff together. This is completely unacceptable and extremely unprofessional. Good luck to anyone that uses PEC as your power provider

PEC is strict but as long as I’ve communicated with them quickly and honestly and directly, they’ve always worked with me. I couldn’t ask or expect for more than that level care.

Everything was good with PEC until they came to trim my Live heritage oaks by my electric lines. I asked them to come back after summer when oak wilt is still not spreading in my neighborhood. One employee in particular showed complete disrespect for live oaks and me personally. She refused to leave my property when I requested as her contracted tree cutters were smoking next to my house and cutting unnecessary branches that fall outside of the required distance. I should have just called the police specially on this PEC representative telling me she has the right to do what she wants - after I closed my gate and told her she no longer has the right to be here. She had an excuse for everything I had a problem with and honestly, showed complete disrespect. I was pretty upset but felt I was in my right as she was entering my property and trying to tell me she can do whatever she wants

The fact that this is down the street from me, but I have been without power for as long as I have been, is despicable. The outage map website has been down for hours and no one can get through the phone lines. Second time PEC has left their members in the dark and refused to provide updates. I wish I could be that terrible at my job and still keep it!

I am being forced to use PEC for electricity through my apartment complex. They are forcing me to pay extra fee each month in relation to the Winter Storm that happened -- I wasn't even a customer of PEC then. I cannot wait to move out of your area. THIS COMPANY IS A SCAM -- AVOID AT ALL COSTS -- they will jack up your rates that has nothing to do with how many Kilowatts you use in your household.

I've been pretty unhappy with the service provided by PEC. I'm right on the border of Austin Energy and wish I could change. First, my service is always spotty. Second, if you use less than ~1250 kwh a month they are more expensive than Austin Energy. Seeing how I only use that much twice a year I'm just paying more for worse service. Third, they have almost 0 rebates. They charge to install solar while austin energy gives you a $2500 rebate. Lastly they are charging everyone ~$200 total for the winter storm! I am looking forward to each year's storm charge to show up for now on... I will commend them that they have a very good rate for their green energy rider. I wish they advertised that more so more people would sign up to use green energy only.
