Capital Power Systems was THE company to work with when installing my new generator. I solicited quotes from other companies and the big box stores, and they all dropped the ball in some way, shape, or form—some didn’t even bother to show up to the initial appointment.

But not Capital Power. From the very first step to the final test, Joe, Tyrone, and their whole crew were there to answer questions, give me the information I needed, and most importantly were available and timely throughout the whole process. It’s a little more involved that a lot of other projects, so I appreciated their knowledge and their professionalism. I was also pleased with their brand selection; I am really happy with the Kohler they had available and it’s custom color to match the red brick of the house.

And it’s already proven useful—a few weeks ago my neighborhood experienced a brief power outage, and the generator kicked right in and brought everything back to life. The peace of mind I now have in case of a bigger emergency or a longer outage is truly priceless. Thank you, Capital Power Systems!

Joe Rizzo and his team finished the installation of our generac generator after our electricians left the job half finished on our new home. Joe was professional, knowledgeable, and very helpful. We got to put the system to the test 2/2023 and it worked perfectly. It automatically started on three separate times and each time worked seamlessly. Kept our family and several friends and neighbors warm during the outages.

When the power went out we heard our generator kick on but no electricity in the house. Joe had installed our Kohler generator and we gave him a call. He was there in 30 minutes, found the problem and the lights and heat came on!

During the Austin Ice Storm in February 2023 my Generac Generator was having issues. Joe was responsive and put me in touch with a service technician/electrician (Mario) who could not make it out due to a full schedule. However Mario took the time he had to FaceTime with me and had me prepare to show him our generator installation and the associated wiring. I safely (with power disconnected) traced and walked him through the wiring as he directed via the phone in the rain/sleet. He identified that the wiring was incorrectly connected to the Automatic Transfer Switch by another electrician which is apparently fairly common. I contacted the electrician whom performed the original installation and he corrected the issue. Following that, our generator ran without issue and continues to power our house while we await local repairs to the blown transformer/bulk electric grid. Thank you Joe and Mario!

I scheduled an appointment online through the Generac website and requested an estimate. They directed me to this company and emailed me a scheduled appointment for April 1st which was five weeks after my request. The day of the scheduled visit I decided to call to find out what time someone was coming. There was no answer so I left a detailed message and nobody ever called me back and they never showed up. I made arrangements to be home the entire day and waited five weeks for an estimate and this company ghosted me. I definitely would not recommend.

Joe Rizzo sent Tech named James the next day to repair my residential generator. James was prompt, courteous, thorough and knowledable. James explained everything as he examined each section and promptly repaired it. He even cleaned all the housing and explained the maintenance procedures that would have helped. I will definitely keep Capital Power Systems and Joe Rizzo in my "to call" list.

Standby whole-house generators are in high demand and there is a semiconductor shortage. Despite that, Capital Power Systems was professional, responsive, and got the job done. We are ready for the next power outage. I highly recommend.
