The Austin Energy has lost it's mind because as a monopoly, it has no accountability and integrity towards its customers. For many years, l have been at the receiving end of their bi-polar billing practices. During the summer months, my bill averages about $350 to $450 a month. I tried calling many times to complain about why the electric bill keeps going up, but I was not given a clear answer. About a year ago, I decided to install solar panels in order to control my electric bill, but it did not work. For example, in January 2025, my bill was $40. In February 2025, my bill was $89. In March 2025, my bill was $147. All of that was just for the electricity bill. This billing practice, that has begun over the years, has made it difficult for me to have a budget on how to pay my utility bills every month. When I called Austin Energy, I was told that I have to apply for assistance if I can't pay my bills. Then, I was also told that the reason for why my energy bill, despite having solar panels on my roof, was going up is because I am being charged for the maintenance of the solar panels on my roof and all other kinds of reasons that didn't make sense to me. I am a retired state worker and I do not deserve to pay more than 15% of my income just to get electricity. On the side, I also have to pay the solar company every month. With the solar panels, I thought that I would be able to manage my electricity bills, but I did not count on Austin Energy to continue its bipolar billing practices. Finally, the most annoying aspect of this experience is the lack of accountability, poor responses, and a total disregard for the customers' pain. Please help me if you are going through the same thing with Austin Energy because I need someone to help me figure out what to do next.

To say Andrea Cash works for Austin Energy in the department where they handle contracts is very much upsetting. Very disrespectful smoking Marijuna and drinking her life away on the job. Needs to be drug tested. I did my own research on how to find her social media if you guys have any concerns feel free to reach out I have more information thanks….

Imagine being able to afford this building but you can't actually maintain the city's electrical grid. I applaud you, Austin Energy. Not only for monopolizing a basic human right- but for convincing the population that your sub-standard service is acceptable!

This afternoon there were eight Austin Energy trucks in front of my house on Westview Drive and others in the neighborhood. I and several of my neighbors felt like we were watching D-Day!

A team of two did a speedy and expert removal of a tree that had fallen on our power and cable lines. One of them said that it had been their longest day.

Many thanks to the these men and to the many who responded to our 311 and 911 calls.

Stunning, modern, green and energy-efficient. Inspirational and beautiful place to work. Lots of murals, sophisticated and artistic fashion furniture. I want to take it home. I feel as if I'm in a fancy resort hotel. We'll need closer lunch, and after work happy hour/dinner choices.

I entered my checking account information incorrectly one time and now seemingly I am banned for life using E-pay and have to go into HEB every month to pay my bill. I doubt anyone at Austin Energy will care because they have a monopoly over the region but it's like they are deliberately inconveniencing you!!
