Matt was faced with some difficulties during this job. The weather was terrible, he had some equipment failures. But through it all, he stayed after it and got it done along with his team, in a very workmanship type manner.
As a personal testament, I am very well pleased with his honesty and diligence.
He will be back to do more work for us.

Matt and his crew arrived when they communicated and worked hard to get the pour right even after the load arrived wetter than expected from the factory (not their fault). They made a longer than expected day of it to get it right.

The crew was easy to talk to and didn’t mind my son and family that were visiting watching. My young son loved watching the truck and buggies move back and forth.

Provided me a written quote of 2 days of labor with 3 people to do some excavation work with some additional material cost. Crew only worked 23 hours of the 48 but he still charged me the full amount. I was told "the price is the price" after asking him about the discrepancy. I took a log of arrival and departure times backed up by camera. Let it go for a few months till I realized it just aint right, despite anything else. Reached out to him via text to discuss it and no response. Come on man, stand by your quote, what's the point otherwise...

Previously, had them do a 225 foot concrete driveway, he underestimated the amount of concrete and total cost significantly by a few thousand dollars or roughly 25%, and the forms got screwed up so its not entirely straight. I was fine with it and willing to let it go until i got shafted on the next deal. My fault I suppose could be one perspective, really wanted to use him for future work, which I have plenty of, until that last experience.

Seems to be his phone isnt always working, which seems like an excuse for not wanting to talk with you, so dont expect a prompt response unless he wants your money.

Sorry buddy, if you didn't want the job you should have just been upfront, or just be transparent on your pricing model, customers deserve not to feel screwed. Charge by machine hour, or if you charge hourly labor rate, only charge the customer for hours worked, it shouldnt be that difficult.

I am sure there will be a way this is all blamed on me somehow, make the customer look bad despite all else. Hope all is well otherwise.

That must be funny math your calculating there...lol...So as a real life recent example, I recently hired a different contractor to do work. 120 per hour for Ex, 120 hour for dump truck, 120 for Skid Steer labor included for operating the machine. Dump truck wasnt operating at the same time skid steer was, so its only two machines at a time. 240 an hour for two machines, which again INCLUDED labor cost, not separate line item for labor.

I only paid for the machine hours and he provided the numbers to me at the end. So if you actually operated both machines for roughly 8-10 hours (which is about how long you all were here) , that would be 2400$ at most. I feel kinda weird explaining this to you...lol.

My point being, you decided to quote by labor hours, your choice, not mine. 48 hours total was the quote, but you only worked 23. Total quote price was 4800$, which included 500$ worth of stone. So $4300 for labor for 48 hours, comes to ~90$ an hour. Total comes to $2070 for 23 hours. OMG, its close to what the machine hour approach would have been...lol

We needed a driveway and sidewalk put in quickly and contacted Matt based on a referral. Matt was very responsive and easy to work with. He is the only one that had a written contract to ensure we were all on the same page with the work to be done. He was also able to get us on his schedule quickly and offered competitive pricing. We called several contractors to get a floor done for a garage priject. Matt (owner) was the only one that came out to give us a quote in person. The work was very good. We are very pleased with the work done and his price was good also. Will hire him again when needed. If you need concrete work done, call Matt don't waste time with others!

Did a good job on the concrete but the French drain behind our garage still will not drain. He came back one time and dug a trench in my backyard and behind the garage and said he would return to fix the drain and that was almost 3 months ago. Will not respond to our texts now. Service after the sale is very dissapointing.

Matt and his crew did a great job. Matt is upfront, and detail oriented. He made suggestions of what was possible, and how it could be accomplished, no sales pitches, just service. They tore out a 50 foot long asphalt driveway that was falling apart. Very pleased with the new slab, the additional drainage, and how everything turned out. I would highly recommend them, and will be using them on future projects.
