I have two pellet stoves. One in my garage and one in my house. Both stoves are on the lowest feed setting 24/7, and burn pot is cleaned out while the stove is running. I have used pellet stoves since 1998. The Curran pellets do burn faster in both stoves, and the fast burn rate does not provide a higher BTU.
If you are not happy with Curran pellets, odds are you have a bag of soft wood pellets. While they are cheaper than Bearfoot or Drycreek, they are not priced accordingly for what you are getting. Look at their bag, it’s got HARDWOOD in big bold letters, then in the product contents area it says “softwood and/or hardwood.

worst pellet we have ever used, have to clean the stove everyday. Clogs my pot, and way too much ash.
thought we would try them...No never again, Walmart's are better.
but Lowes and Home Depot we will go back to.
Sad thing most of our local place sells these cheaper, still not a good choice

These pellets are the best burning by far. The folks that work here have also been extremely helpful. The woman behind the desk was able to help me find a great replacement for my aging Pelpro and even went as far as to introduce me to the NYSERDA program that helps pay for replacement stoves. Also there's always help loading pellets which is much appreciated.

Lots of ash, burns fast. Low grade pellets for a high price. I have been burning pellets 22 years now and these are probably the worst I have seen. Warm year and I will probably have to buy more. Haven't had to do that in 10 years.

I have always used instaheat pellets in my older model stove. I bought carran this time. My stove gos out and there is a horrible fuel smell outside

Purchased a ton of pellets and they smoke alot and go out all the time have to mix with other companies pellets and hope it burns properly

Nice people and really fast loading.
Be careful with weight. What they say is 44k lbs is in fact ~45.5k
