Buyer beware here. There is a monthly "Service Fee" or $45 for residential $65 for non-residential. Last month I used $8 of electricity on a hunting property. My bill was $80 after taxes.

They are the only game in town so they can charge this extortion fee. I am considering turning off my power when not using the property or ditching them all together and going off grid. Insanity.

If I could give a 0 I would. This is the worse electric company period. I do my job do yours. Along with the crews sitting at Owen's parking lot from 2 to closer to 4. Do your job.. We don't owe you guys with attitudes anything.. Mlec in Hickman is beyond a joke. This will be checked into this time. And yes my electric is paid... I'm not like the other's.. So instead of getting paid to sit at Owen's market playing lottery and eating do work...

I have never had the power go off so often in my 35 years of living. It's almost a twice a month thing. Only time I see a warning about it is if they post about it on Facebook and I see it AFTER the power has already come back on. Do better.

My experience with ML connect is not the happy go lucky post. Unfortunately I was disconnected but that the very same day I paid the bill and the reconnection fee.
The lady at the call center informed me that I would reconnected as the payment was posted. 4 hrs later I got connected, then it was turned off again and on again, then off again and finally on agaein Wll eshey were doing this my router internet box started acting funny. First I had two connection speeds to connect to a 5 G and a 2 G. Not no more one connection and it was unstable.
So I called the number requesting to speak to a technician to see if they could walking through it. No call back. They I called again gave them the information. No call back. The third time I called I asked for a supervisor, took my info again and waited for a call back. No call back.

MLEC is not accountable . Unlike most power companies that give you updates and estimates on repair times , Their recording are meaningless. Our power went out at about 4:30 PM on 5/03/2020 . They tell you about outages everywhere and that crews are working as fast as possible to restore power but no estimates are available for "RESTORAL" For almost 12 hours Hohenwald was listed among many but power was on there shortly after the storm from phone calls and my personal drive around the area . Out near Reed Rd and Napier Rd (rural) there is no power and NO crews have been seen despite numerous drives including into Hohenwald. Last night the calls were trasferred to an after hours facility in Texas and the individual answering had no clue.. It is now past 8AM on 5/04/2020 and there is no hint as to when service may be restored . . MLEC needs new leadership . I have numerous other issues with the company on which I will be happy to elaborate.

Horridly bad power company. We lose power randomly and seemingly for no reason, sometimes for more than a day. We have no idea why it goes off and receive no communication from ML when it will be restored. It's like we're living in a 3rd world country. Of course there's no accountability just as another reviewer pointed out.

I never knew how AMAZING MLEC was until I moved away...
Now, power outages are frequent & last forever, unlike the MLEC service I was use to. Each lineman must give 110% toward the service of their customers.
