Expect to be charged whatever they feel like charging you. My bill exploded November of 2024 at $365 up from around $200 give or take the previous few months. I gave them the benefit of the doubt, as I'd been running my thermostat at 70 and it's been cold.

Dropped my thermostat to 64 the entirety of December and had a fire in my wood stove at least 20 nights that month. December's bill came in with a whopping savings of $7.

This company is actually criminal.

Our power is out due to the hurricane. First notification said power would be restored by 1pm today, next notification said Sunday at 11pm…the entire weekend no power. The rain has stopped, the sky is clear as I type this…what’s the excuse? No credit on the bill or anything. People will have to eat out every single day, lose food in their fridge, possibly have to get a hotel AND pay their electric bill on time!

!!! Autopay customers BEWARE !!! This organization has a policy to assess deposits if your autopay doesn't draft in time. The hilarious part is they take 2-3 billing cycles to allow you to sign up and 4-6 weeks to "verify" auto-draft.

This billing department helped after a about an hour on hold, but did, in fact, get it fixed (to their credit) after realizing the root cause of the issue was their auto pay timeline issues.

Isn't it illegal to have a monopoly? Some agency needs to bring charges against the board members of AEP. These idiots are out of control! You would think an charging an average monthly bill of $500+, they would be able to keep the power from flickering on and off every Saturday during college football! They should have a little pride in their over priced product!

They will leave you without power for HOURS. As I write this it’s been 15 hours without power! That’s unacceptable. Everytime the power goes out it takes them a whole day to restore it. How come every other power company can turn it back on in less than 4 hours but AP needs all day. Thanks for ruining all our food and having us sit in the heat or freezing cold SO MANY TIMES!
