Misfit Concepts is the one, y’all.

I have been visiting Ariana for almost 5 years and have even moved salons with her—i gladly drive an hour one way for my services at Misfit Concepts and I couldn’t imagine going anywhere else!

Ariana, Taylor, Libby, and Azure have cultivated the most IMMACULATE vibes in the shop. They are fabulous conversationalists and I’m always so sad when my time is up! Your comfort is their top priority, and every guest is offered a consultation, newsletter, and even a Diet Coke!!

Since I began my time as a guest of Misfit Concepts, I have received a variety of services. I have done a balayage, we’ve dyed my hair a couple of different colors, and I have even done a big dramatic-cut-off-10-inches transformation with Ariana. I’ve also had hair tinsel installed and contrary to other reviews here (which I’m not sure can possibly be sincere), the tinsel lasted from the time it was tied in at the end of June until i cut it out at the end of September. I have lately been visiting Libby for an eyebrow wax and I nearly fall asleep every time because of how smooth, relaxing, and pain-free Libby’s highly skilled services are.

Ariana and her team, perhaps most importantly, have created a safe and open space for everyone. Beauty services sometimes require a bit of vulnerability on the part of the guest, and I have never one single time felt self-conscious or uncomfortable about sharing any insecurities I might have with the team.

I love this small business with all my heart and will continue to be a patron for as long as I can!

Misfit Concepts is a rare salon. Ariana and her team have created a relaxing, calm atmosphere, which I believe is hard to find. Their products are top notch. And Ariana’s skills with curly hair are perfection, which if you’re a curly girl/guy, you know that is a unicorn. I’ve been to see her 3 times now and every time I come away with the best cut.

Today Azure gave me a gorgeous balayage! It made for a much needed self care day. I think she has created my favorite hair vibe so far! Freshened up my ends while still able to keep the length and framed my face as well.
Side note.. this shop is extremely beautiful and great atmosphere! Such a great mommy break!

This was my first time getting highlights and I loved it! Azure did a great job talking through my options, including how to cover my greys and make sure it looks natural as my hair grows out. She also gave my curls new life with more layers throughout my haircut and delicious smelling products.
Overall the salon has a good atmosphere and beautiful aesthetic.

Taylor did an excellent job with the cut of my hair- it’s naturally curly but I straighten it too, and she gave it a shape that works perfectly for both.
When I came back for color she basically read my mind and found the perfect shade and placement!
She asked great questions to understand what I was hoping for, and was friendly and easy to work with throughout. The salon itself just has a great energy.
I’m so glad I found Misfit Concepts and Taylor!

If you want an amazing experience and the BEST company I highly recommend this salon. Not only do they envision what you want but they make it come to life to fit your style the way you want. I was lost in the department of getting my hair cut regularly and this into first salon I’ve religiously gone to. They are the most trustworthy girls I know when it comes to your hair. They are even amazing with kids. They have such a chill but professional environment so if you have any hair anxiety they help with that majorly. If you want to feel like a new person again go see these ladies!!!
