Setting up anything like this can get complicated and mistakes can get made. It's not about whether mistakes happen it's how they are handled. As you can tell by other reviews already, this is a great company providing a great service. When my service was setup there was an input error. Hey, it happens. The first credit was larger than anticipated and more than I'd use in a normal month. At the same time, I had an unexpected change to my heating and hot water system that should be reducing my overall electric bill so I needed to get this overage addressed. I wasn't worried because in my state the credits don't ever expire.
I just needed to be sure that I didn't keep paying for more credits than I'd be using each month going forward. A couple of emails and a phone call later, Matty had everything squared away in a manner that worked both for me and Syncarpha. No threats, no fighting, no back and forth. There was a problem and it was dealt with professionally and in a timely manner. THAT tells me it was the right call going with Syncarpha! Go for it! You won't be disappointed.

Working with Syncarpha has been incredibly easy. We can't have solar panels on our house so we signed up for community solar. We get a check each month direct deposited into our account with monthly savings. It's not a large amount, but it adds up over time. And every bit helps.

UPDATE: 5/28/2022 Since posting this review, Syncarpha staff has finally reached out and we've tried to iron things out over the last few months. The system still isn't very predictable, but at least they're trying to help. Finally decided to cancel the contract simply because I don't like being caught in a life time contract with no exit clauses.

Syncarpha promises big things for homeowners with their solar farms, but the delivery so far has been atrocious. Instead of manageable monthly payments, I've received 2 payments over 5 months resulting in enormous cashflow shocks upfront. And that's just one of the issues I have had to deal with.

All of this would be forgivable if at least their customer care was responsive. Don't bother trying to call their customer care line, all you get is an answering machine with a promise to call you in the "next business day". They still haven't returned any of my calls. As for emails, the "next business day" promise doesn't hold water there either. I have used every avenue available to me, and at best their responses have been 3-4 weeks at best. It's simply atrocious.

Don't fall for it!

I answered a call several years ago from a woman who managed to convince me not to hang up, by the gentle sincerity of her voice. She described all the benefits I could receive by participating in the Syncarpha program, and frankly it sounded too good to be true! What…a check sent to me monthly, based on the sq. footage of my house? Really
Not totally convinced there wasn’t some hidden gimmick somewhere, I allowed myself to join. And, bless her heart, and Syncarpha ‘s I have been receiving those checks every month with the added pleasure of knowing, in some small way, I am contributing to the switch to solar energy, a boon to the environment, and global warming.
Thank you, Syncarpha!

I had an issue with missing credits on my electric bill. I e-mailed Syncarpha and Jovita responded immediately and put a lot of effort into rectifying the problem promptly, which problem was not caused by Syncarpha. Excellent employees.

Syncarpha has helped me be able to participate in solar energy. My roof is too old to hold solar panels, so when the representative for Syncarpha came around I signed up to be part of their solar farm. It has all been fine in terms of billing and the lights have stayed on : )

Joined Syncarpha several years ago pre-Covid and have been duly impressed with their community solar project goals to help us move towards energy sustainability. We have consistently received rebates in compliance with their promise for buying into their project when first began. Their customer service was knowledgeable and provided me confidence that the planet and people are up infront!

There is one customer service representative that is truly there for the customer. However, after dealing with Syncarpha over the past month to fix an obvious billing issue, I now understand why people do not trust solar farm companies. You, as the consumer, need to continue to advocate for yourself and what is right. If there is a billing issue, do not pay a cent until it is resolved appropriately.

Fifteen months after signing up for a solar farm we received our first bill - for over 3 times our monthly usage. At first we thought this was a scam, Syncarpha was not the company with whom we signed the contract and a call our electric company’s CS line didn’t provide any new information. After digging through old emails and making a call to the original contract provider, we found the contract has been sold a year prior. It took 2 days to get ahold of someone at Syncarpha, leaving multiple voicemails in the process. Then we spent at least 4 hours and over 3 weeks on the phone with Syncarpha customer service and our electricity provider. Each blamed the other and left it up to the consumer to figure out the error. At one point a customer service manager for Syncarpha equated the energy over allocation to a restaurant serving the wrong orders to a table, saying that “someone has to pay for the food.” (Apparently she does not patron restaurants often because that’s not how it works.) There were also multiple times where Syncarpha’s team would tell us false information, insisting that we needed to pay this egregious bill and that our electric company would reimburse us (in the state of Maine, this is not true). In the end our electricity provider was the hero and gave us the documentation to prove Syncarpha’s calculations were wholly overestimating our usage. To say this was a frustrating experience is an understatement. Coupled with the blame game and lack of ownership for responsibility on Syncarpha’s part, made the whole experience downright infuriating. We stood our ground despite the pressure from a customer service manager to pay for the overallocation. In the end, only when confronted with the overwhelming evidence that the error was Syncarpha’s doing, did they fix their mess.

Be your own advocate as Syncarpha will not be!
