Strive To Learn was the right college counseling/ ACT Test Prep provider for our son. Josephine and her team are fantastic and truly care about positive outcomes. For my son, they customize a path towards successful college admissions. After working with Strive To Learn, our son was able to raise his test scores significantly and refine his college essays. Strive to Learn has done so much to help me in this college process. I have pretty much don’t it all with them! I started with just test prep which they were very helpful with. They were able to help me decide whether the SAT or ACT was best fit for me and from the they really helped me gain raise my SAT score significantly. I worked with both Luc and Josephine for test prep tutoring and they were both amazing. It is really a personal experience and they are able to help you focus in on the areas you need improve.
I also worked with STL for college counseling which was extremely helpful during the stressful process. They provided great guidance in deciding what type of school you are looking for and create a solid list of schools you want to apply to. Included in this, I worked with Melinda, an essay coach, who really helped guide me and stimulate creativity when it comes to the Common App and supplemental essays.
My overall experience at Strive to Learn was great and they provided great service and the very stressful college process!!

I cannot say enough good things about Strive to Learn and specifically Josh. Josh tutored both my sons in math and physics and was an absolute life saver. We did both in-person and online tutoring sessions and both are great. Josh is great to work with, so patient and so knowledgeable. We would not have gotten through this school year without him. We utilized Strive to Learn for our daughter Malia. She is the oldest in our family so navigating all that goes into the college application process was completely foreign to us. As such we purchased the comprehensive package as we felt it provided the best value for our needs.
Malia was paired with William as her counselor and he was fantastic to work with. He did a great job in guiding her to look at different schools that may not have been on her radar based on various surveys she had completed. He kept her on task and we always knew when the deadlines were for the schools she was applying to. They worked closely on her college essays which was invaluable.
We will be utilizing William and strive to learn again with our son who is currently a junior. I would highly recommend William and Strive to learn.

The experience I got at Strive To Learn was one that I will never regret. Josh (my ACT tutor) was amazing and empowered me to do my best on the ACT and get a 34. William (my college essay tutor) helped me write over 15 essays and get into my dream school. Strive to Learn is the only place I would ever recommend for college counseling, tutoring, or test prep (and I've done all three over the years with various tutors/counselors). Honestly, some companies are so corrupt and really just want to exploit people's anxiety about college admissions and test scores. In the three years since I started with a tutor at StL, I have only ever felt empowered and encouraged by the whole team. I could talk forever about the value of their services, or the amazing community outreach, or the fact that my ACT composite score went from a 26 to a 32 with their help. It all boils down to their devotion to their students - my friends and I all were matched with different counselors, and each of the five of us felt that we got high quality support to write the best essays, be our best selves at interviews, and find the best financial aid opportunities. School prestige obviously isn't everything, but in case you care: I'm now attending a top 20 university in the US, with a 15% acceptance rate (and a 3.5% acceptance rate within my specific major). I owe it all to them, and I can't recommend this company enough. Thank you Strive!!

This was a great experience, they were flexible with our son's schedule and in just a few months of weekly tutoring our son went from a composite score of 27 to a 33 on the ACT. His English score went from 25 to 35!
Josh R. was so helpful and knowledgeable, teaching my son so much more in the areas of Math and English, not just how to take the test. This was money well spent. We will use them again for our younger two children when the time comes to prepare for the SAT and ACT.
