If I could give LCUB less than 1 stars, I would. If I could give them less than 0 stars, I would. Expect at least 50 power interruptions a year, with no explanation, and no customer service. And that's ones that are not for weather related reasons. I have had four in less than a week that have had nothing to do with weather. They love to just leave their phones as "no one available at this time," and no one has ever responded to any of the many complaint emails that I've sent. I've never interacted with a worse utilities company, which is saying a lot.

Worst customer service you will EVER receive in the south. The grid is so poorly maintained that any adverse weather will bring it down for 10hr or more in winter. Little wind, some rain, power gone I've never lived with such unreliable power utility in my life. It's enough to make you move out of their service zone or spend 45k on solar panels, batteries and back-up generator. Absolutely ridiculous. YOU CANNOT COUNT ON THEM.

Lenoir City utilities thank you for addressing the problem on Thornton drive. I'm originally from West Palm Beach Florida this would never have happened like this. it would have been like three four five six days. thank you. thank you

The customer service representatives kept their cool and calm pretty well despite how frustrated i was with their complicated process of setting up electricity - for that i give 3 stars. The fact that the company has such a complicated application process (akin to a mortgage application) for electricity is why i don't give it a 5.

Worst customer experience of my life.
I called customer service to resolve a solution to a billing date. Not an amount. Not a dispute. I simply needed to change the billing date at my address to a different DATE. That’s all. The first person I talked to was rude and flat out left me hanging saying they couldn’t help me and wanted to hang up on me. I quickly asked for a supervisor. Jeff McDaniels answered. He proceeded to tell me flat out he wouldn’t help me. After a long pause and me begging and pleading to come up with some kind of solution he kept telling me No No No No.
He lied to me about a billing program that was coming “a month away”. Doesn’t help me now. I also bet there won’t be a different program before the end of 2020 either.
I still have no solution to my date issue.

I have been a LCUB customer since before Jeff McDaniels was hired. If I had any other choice for a utility based on this experience with him you bet I would use it now and leave as a customer. LCUB doesn’t care.

If you drop off your bill don't make the same mistake I did make sure you get your receipt. Somehow the drive thru teller lost my bill and I'm charged a late fee. Its a game of my word against theirs and guess who wins?

These people are kind and willing to do anything to help you. Respectful hardworking team the negative reviews are from people who create their own problems these people get talked to in abusive language daily & they are still positive and go out of their way for you compare it to something similar like the DMV thess ladies and gentlemen are wonderful! Thank you!
