They sent a letter stating I would automatically be enrolled in their energy saving program unless I opted out by a certain date. The post man initially lost this letter. What kind of scam is this? This should be illegal.

Defaulting to opt-in is a terrible practice. I would give zero stars if I could.

What might be an otherwise admirable mission is made less by forcing customers to proactively opt-out.
