Poor customer service, they can't explain precisely the exact cost of fines and fees on their bill, if you have been late at any point or has had your water shut off at all you will not ever get to pay just the past due amount on any disconnect that you have you have to come up with the full amount every time, I paid disconnect fees for my water that was not disconnected, you can pay a disconnect notice off and have one the following week, they will not take payments, they cut me off early from coronavirus then put disconnect notices on my door every two weeks after trying to cover their ass and tried to say that they didn't cut me off but I was there when they cut and did disconnect me and so are my neighbors and I had been hauling water for several weeks, then my water bill to my water that had been shut off went up three times saying that it was for sewage. They've come and disconnected my water and not left no note on the door not nothing didn't try to even knock when I have children and animals in my home and they know this. I was told that I didn't I didn't qualify for a discounted rate because I didn't look like I should get it when I receive SSI, that was after they had told me that they had no program for discounted rate for elderly or disabled people... For $35 of water every month I pay over $120 bill this is for one adult and one child and three dogs. Last but not least whenever you you get a disconnect I've had a few but every time the disconnect notice will be a couple dollars higher than the actual bill I've asked them where the extra money goes because it isn't going into my account and not being credited or given back that money into my account or towards it, I was told once the next month was being prorated onto the disconnect notice i've never seen a credit on my bill. Another time they told me it was just being put into an account and I said who's it's not my account and I didn't approve for it to go into anyone else's account only towards my bill. I have saved many of my bills at my disconnects to prove this. I'm a single mom who lives off of SSI to support my daughter and myself.. with a corrupt utilities department such as Bloomfield water it's almost impossible for us to survive..
