KPOT Korean BBQ & Hot Pot - Toms River, New Jersey

We absolutely love KPot! The quality of the food and service is always great, and we visit about once a week. Our 4-year-old enjoys it just as much as we do! We’ve been to multiple locations, but the Toms River location is by far our favorite. The service is always excellent, and the food comes out in a timely manner.

I do have two small complaints.
1. We dined in on Valentine’s Day and were charged the holiday dinner price, which is understandable. However, if we’re being charged dinner pricing for a holiday, I believe the hot food selection should reflect that. That day, the only hot food options were sesame seed balls, egg rolls, and fries. I would have expected shrimp and chicken to be available as they are during regular dinner service. (We came in at noon 2/14/25)
2. We ordered teas to go, and my husband, who is sensitive to cold drinks, requested a Thai tea with no ice. When the drinks arrived, his was noticeably not full. I didn’t mention it at the time since it wasn’t the waiter who made the drink, but I feel like drinks should be filled to the top regardless of ice. Many other places we’ve ordered from still provide a full cup even without ice. I’ve included a picture to show what we received.( 6:00 pm 2/21/25)

Aside from these two issues, everything else was fantastic! KPot is a great place to bring family and friends, and we’ll definitely continue coming back.

I’ve been to tons of different locations for KPOT, but I have to say, this was by far my best experience and by far. The food was excellent, everything was hot and fresh, even at the bar with the wings and spring rolls. And they were delicious! The service was fast and excellent. Steven was our server and he was top of the line. He checked in with us multiple times to make sure everything was running smoothly, he explained to us all of our options, even the ones we did not know were included, and he made sure we had an excellent experience. I don’t think my glass of water ever went below half as he was always on top of everything to make sure it was full. The music was great, the vibes were great, the atmosphere was great. Overall, it was a fantastic 10/10 experience and I will be back.

Editing to add pics! I wish I had pictures to share...but we were too excited to eat. We did the all you can eat BBQ and hot pot for lunch. We got there when they opened to avoid the crowd...great idea! We did mostly the spicy beef BBQ with some of the vegetables....definitely spicy! Get some daikon to mellow it out! For the hot pot we chose the Tom Yum broth with pho noodles which was spicy and a little sour. We also did a combo of beef and lots of green vegetables like bok choy and cabbage for the soup along with different mushrooms. Definitely get the ginger oil at the appetizer bar to add! The best $29 all you can eat lunch I've had in awhile...we left very full and satisfied. Good service... Kailee was great! We will be back! Recommend if you are a foodie and like Asian cuisine and soup!

This is my second time coming here, food is still delicious and the experience is amazing. First time here, service was excellent. This time our server Enderin, wasn't the best. Super quiet, not attentive at all and never checked up on our table. We were chasing them down just to get service. Totally understand it was busy, but the last time it was just as busy and we had amazing service. Overall, would def come again, I just wouldn't want to be sat with Enderin.

I have never been to KPOT before, and at first, it seems a little overwhelming, but it's not, and it was one of the best dining experiences I have had in a long time.
Francesca walked us through the menu, and we were off. You cook everything in front of you. It's a riot and the food is delicious. You can order and eat all you want for two hours. We will definitely be back again. Francesca, you are the best. Thank You.

After a long day of work, we stopped in for some food and drinks, and this place did not disappoint! The food was absolutely delicious—fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. Every bite was a hit, and you can tell they put real effort into their dishes.

The $15 Tom’s River Stick Toss Beer Tower was the perfect way to unwind. Great value, ice-cold, and just what we needed after a full day. It’s definitely something we’ll be coming back for!

A huge shoutout to Nicholas and Chen for their top-notch service. Attentive, friendly, and quick with recommendations, they made our experience even better. Their hospitality truly stood out and ensured we had an incredible time.

This spot is a must-visit, and we’ll 100% be back soon!

I’ve now been here two times. My first experience was decent and our server was very nice but the second was not the best. I will state the first time we went was on a Wednesday night with only a few people in the restaurant, and the second was on a decently busy Friday night (45 minute wait).

The Friday experience was again, not the best. Our server was very flustered, we had to ask her multiple times for different things, even just refills for waters we had to ask at least twice every time, however she was very polite and profusely apologetic when she messed up. The people who were just bussing food also kept making a ton of mistakes, not just on our table but others as well. When we ordered our first choice of meat which was ribeye and lamb they brought us out two plates of pork and we didn’t even realize till we ordered our second round of meat and it looked completely different. Also I understand this place is all you can eat and that is part of the appeal but the meat is cut so thin that you get barely any with each serving. The appetizer and “oil” bar is lack luster and everything was almost empty. It was also a mess.

I understand when places get busy it is hard to keep up with things but this place clearly needs more staff. I only observed about 4 waiters working in a restaurant that has 30 tables with large parties.

My biggest complaint though is how loud and obnoxious the music was. Please play dinner music, the place is already loud enough from people talking and the loud rap music on top of it was extremely overwhelming and made the experience completely miserable.

Overall, if you enjoy Korean bbq or hot pot you will enjoy the food, but the atmosphere and the overall service is lacking.

This was our first time at K Pot and I don't know why it took us so long to go there! There were countless options of deliciously marinated beef, pork, chicken, seafood, etc. on the menu and there was also a buffet of appetizers and sauces on top of it! We did the Korean BBQ only, but you can also do hot pot, or choose both BBQ AND hot pot! Our super sweet waitress Melody was AMAZING and so helpful, because the ordering process can be a little overwhelming at first for a newcomer! She suggested popular dishes, as well as how much to get of each of them. The kids loved the concept as well and really enjoyed everything we ate! They also have a full bar, which is a nice change to many of the BYOs in the area. We will definitely be back! 🍜🥘🍶
