I would like to take the opportunity to commend the personnel of Energy Smart Solar (ESS). I am not one to write a review, but the overall experience that Energy Smart Solar gave me, compels me to, and was one of, “My Business Matters”! As a person the does his homework, I examined the ratings for this company on The Better Business Bureau , Department of Business and Professional Regulations and Google Reviews. All were excellent ratings. I also reviewed the products to be installed for their ratings, again all good. Upon inspections, I had to opportunity to chat with the inspectors, there feedback was all good. I did look into the financing options and programs that were available to me both thru ESS and private routes. At the end day I chose to do private funding and not the 30 year programs offered. This did allow ESS to give me a CASH price as well. Once the monies were secured, a deposit was due at the contract signing, a second deposit at the start of the job and final payment at the conclusion of the job. I was quoted a start date, which was surprisingly moved up by several weeks, and the physical job was completed before the original start date quoted. The time from start of the job to system a fully functional system has been 28 days. NOTE: With weather, holiday, permits, inspections and FPL as outside influences. Great JOB
The sales person (Ken Kruger) was direct, and to the point, overall very easy to work with. Gave me all the options, tax credit information and worked with me to get the ball moving. When questions arose, they were addressed on a timely and concise bases.
The installation staff was always polite and a pleasure to work with, while maintaining a clean work space at all times.
As with any construction job, outside influences do play a roll, Permits, Inspections, FPL, holidays and the weather DO NOT always cooperate, understanding these factors do exist, and may not be controllable, helps the process go smoothly.
With this all said, I would highly recommend Energy Smart Solar be considered when looking for your solar installer

I’ve had nothing but problems from day one when they install my solar panels to my roof. They will not own up to their responsibility to fix the solar panels that’s causing the leak on my roof. I do not recommend them to anyone. just to remove my solar panels Alex wanted to charge $2000 just to remove the solar panels under my car porch. and also the way they install the installation around the house is done very poorly

Previously I gave this company 5 stars. At the time, the owner, Mitra, asked if I would give them a good Google review and I was happy to oblige. But once we began to have issues, things changed. I should have seen the signs from the onset of not returning calls, text prior to installation. A year after installation, our roof began to leak around the solar fan. He finally sent technicians to repair it. But it was only a temporary fix, because of course once our S. Florida rainy season started, my roof started to leak again. And of course I called him out. There was also an issue with the investor needing to be reset. We had an issue with him sending someone to rectify that situation. The last incident has been ongoing since February 2023. The roof is now leaking in 2 spots and the inverter was giving an error message. I contacted the Solar Panel manufacturer, which stated we need to contact the installer. Well, of course I was ignored. When he finally answered my call, he told me that I needed to contact the manufacturer, because I cannot continue to call him every time there is an issue. I explained this was not a manufacturer issue but an installation issue. He did not like this response. Eventually he sent a technician, which only patched one area of the roof, leaving the solar fan area to continue to leak and the error messages on my inverter. Therefore, I have panels on my roof that are not working and not because we don't want to pay someone to fix it. Instead I'm dealing with a contractor that doesn't care about the quality of his work, does not care about making sure he addresses the customer concerns. How can you ask us to be patient, because of staffing issues. When we have been nothing but such. My advice, stay away from this company. I have documented text messages to prove all of my statements are true and I have filed a complaint with Broward County and will escalate this.

What’s the point of having solar panels if you get monthly energy bills for $400 a month. This has been the worst company. My family has been dealing with them for the longest time and nothing has been done. They claim the panels are working perfectly.

Got the system installed last year and I couldn't be more happy. The guys over at Energy Smart Solar really know what they are doing and are very knowledgeable. I wouldn't have anyone else install them. I'm very glad I went with this company.

I used another company for my solar pool heater before I found Energy Smart Solar. Very disappointed with the pool system. When i have had to contact them for many issues it has taken up to 9 months for them to fix the problem!
Energy Smart Solar has been outstanding with any issues or questions I have had. They always get back to me within minutes. The whole team has been great! When my system was inspected the inspector was impressed with the workmanship. He told me it was the most thorough job he has seen ! By the way my system has 44 panels and solar hot water system also! I recommend them to anyone who wants to save money, headaches and the planet!

I hired these guys to install an industrial strength solar powered exhaust fan in the roof of my home. I have a large crawl space and it was getting so hot that the AC was not able to properly cool my house. The fan was installed in a few hours and started working right away, extracting the hot air trapped in the crawl space. Within a couple of days I noticed the temperature in my home was consistently several degrees cooler in the dead of summer. I highly recommend this product and this company. They were professional, showed up on time, got the job done and I've had no issues ever since.
