Fort Greene is the anchor of the neighborhood. It's quintessential park complete with a visitors center. It's on a hill and the martyrs monument tower is a sight to see. It's next to Downtown Brooklyn and Spike Lee's place down the block. Across the park is the Brooklyn Tech High School, Brooklyn Hospital and many other places in a short distance walk. If not plenty of bus lines and Subway G 123 lines. It's very frequented by locals Nice place to go for a stroll and clean. I usually sit by the tennis courts to see the people play tennis. In the summer there are some events held there like movie screenings etc. One of the best parks in Brooklyn like Sunset Park and the biggest Park Prospect Park. The farmers market is there on th weekends. In a very expensive and beautiful neighborhood, it's a win win experience.

One of my favorite - and most underrated parks in NYC. Absolutely beautiful, perfect mix of charm. Very family and community oriented, they constantly have farmers markets and events for the community - which always have incredible turn outs!

A good place to walk, run, jog because of its elevation, wide space, lots of benches, and a tennis court

The Fort Greene Farmers Market is the best in Brooklyn, without question. We’ve lived in the area for over 6 years now; and the park is an oasis. Community oriented, incredibly managed and cared for by countless volunteers who put their heart and soul into it. It’s just amazing!

This is a great park! Great diversity of activities you can do here - there are dog areas, passive grassy areas, active play fields, benches to sit on, hills to see out over the city, stairs to jog up, and bushes that provide shelter to wildlife. And, most importantly, there are clean bathrooms that you can access.

Every Saturday Morning, Fort Greene Park hosts a Farmer's Market and a sectiom of Small Businesses and Artisans from the NY area and all over the world.
My favorites are: LISBONATA (Pasteis de Nata, as the ones originally Made in Portugal), they are about to open a store in Crown Heights, Brooklyn. On Saturdays they are on Fort Greene Park. On Sundays, they are located on McGolrick Park & Park Slope, Brooklyn. Insta: @lisbonatanyc
Maria, from Argentina, is a Jewelry designer and sells her own pieces.

Love it here! Off leash hours 9pm - 9am so many dogs go in the morning between 8 and 9 in particular. Beautifully kept park with tennis courts and a farmer's market every weekend.
