This company is TERRIBLE! I paid them $2,700 to remove and reinstall my existing solar system because I got a new roof in late December 2021 and January 2022. Their customer rep, Frank Van Hemert, would never return my calls to update me on a re-install date until finally setting up a date five weeks later.

Two years later, I have a soft roof and a leak from their solar installation. They ripped through my new shingles, putting holes in them. Now, I have to remove all the panels again to check the rest of their work and fix the roof. As a side note, I have had the panels on the house for ten years with no issues, and a different company installed them.

I have tried contacting them since January 2024 and am still awaiting a response. Their rep even blocked my email address, and they don't return phone calls. I am considering legal action.

I've attached some photos showing their inept solar panel installation. 1 Star rating is too much.

If anyone is potentially interested in getting solar panels for your home ,i highly recommend AD Energy. The entire staff that i dealt with were highly informative, professional, and very thorough with explaining the overall process of the solar panel installation. Tim, the ad energy sales person highly exceeded my expectations, he was very friendly and was the selling point on making us make our decision to go with ad energy. I highly recommend Tim if you have any questions or need any informative information if you are interested in joining the Ad Energy family.We even utilized Ad Energy for our new roof installed. I give 5 stars for my experience!!!!!!

Taylor Munson was our sales rep and the service was impeccable. Taylor was knowledgeable, courteous but above all his level of communication was A+, he kept us informed every step of the way on what to expect next. Even after we had the panels installed and the deal was done, Taylor was quick to respond to any questions I had. I would absolutely recommend AD Energy and especially Taylor as a sales rep.

I would give zero stars if I could. In the beginning the company was good. Very responsive. However, when problems started happening with my system they became more and more difficult to get a return phone and/or email back. For the past 13 months, my solar system started failing. Five different micro inveroers stopped working. Each time I would call/email them, it took longer and longer for the problem to get resolved. Three weeks ago, another micro invertor stopped working. I contacted the company via email and phone. As of today, I have not received any response. They basically are ghosting me now. Very unprofessional in my opinion. Stand behind a product that you sold and installed!!!

Went with Ad-Energy as their quote combined latest equipment and was most reasonable priced as compared with other vendors. They had a high rating on this site as well. Also, was really impressed with patience and knowledge of their sales person. However, have had a very disappointing experience post signing contract. Their roofing contractor did a sub-par roof installation, and no one responded from Ad-Energy to resolve the issue. Since then, It has been more than 3 months since the panels were installed but we are still not operational. A very unprofessional company, they are not proactive in getting issues resolved, totally unresponsive unless I inquire on a periodic basis. Even then I get vague, run around responses. I hope my experience is a one-off but in either case, please do your due diligence if going forward .
01/23 - update: we went operational in Jan. There are a couple of open items, however, They have been very cooperative in helping us reach towards an acceptable resolution.

Hi All,

I am wiring this review and providing my overall experience with the company. During the sales period, it was awesome and quick response (Sep-22), however, it continues till we received our approval by Nov-22. I was told initially my project will be completed by Dec-22 or Jan-23, however, I wasn't able to get a single response after following up multiple times until I send out an email saying I have been following up and no response so "I assume the company has decided to scrap the project" I got the response in 10 min."  I have been trying to get the status on my refund and other items for the last 2 months but no response, and completely ignored by Andy (owner) and other team members. However, I really appreciate Tim (VP Sales), and for all his hard work and quick responses and still trying to help me with all he got.
Issues I have faced with them
1. Withdraw the money without even completing the project
2. No update on my cash back and refunds (just we are delayed)
3. No updates on SREC or other items
4. Hard to get hold of anyone from the support team or anyone in general.
I was referring my family and friends to them but I will not do anymore due to such issues, which can add a lot more in the long run.

Frank was responsive and knowledgeable. After one call, he prepared a proposal to install an Auto Electric Charger at my home, pointed out the various rebates and outlined the anticipated electric charging costs. I was thoroughly impressed w/ his proactive customer service and the positive experience continued w/ the install. The Technician arrived timely and he was courtesy & competent. The charger was installed in my garage and the tech was very thoughtful and patient w/ me when determining the appropriate location - much appreciated!
Without hesitation, I’d recommend Ad Energy.
