I'm extremely happy with my experience with Impact Solar! I had them install solar and an EV charger.

If you’re debating whether to use a local solar company or a national one, go local! They’re pricing is just as competitive, but more importantly they are all great people to work with, and know the in’s and out’s of the local utilities, township permitting, and other important details that will help speed up the process, and save you some money. They handle all the permitting, and will help walk you through things like applying for the PSE&G EV rebates (some of which I didn’t know about) and the SREC registration, both of which feel overly complicated.

The customer service was incredible every step of the way. Any questions I had got answered almost immediately, and there were plenty of updates along the way as we waited for the install date, permitting, inspections, etc.

Now, every sunny day I pull up the Enphase app to see in real time how much energy my system is pumping out!

Impact Solar just finished with our install a few weeks ago, and I'll admit that I'm impressed. I had my reservations about going solar in general after hearing a lot of nightmare stories from friends and about other installer's quality of work, but Impact Solar delivered on every aspect! Jeff in sales was patient and very thorough, answering all of my questions. Michelle was very organized and always quick to update me at each milestone, and Rob and the install team were professional and respectful of the house. While the system looks great, I feel truly confident in my decision to go with Impact Solar after working with the entire team - each one of them works with a level of care and consideration that's palpable. Impact has done a fantastic job from start to finish. They were patient as we explored different options and companies. Our questions were answered promptly and no pressure. The price was competitive and any little extras were included. Install went well. Aesthetically, it looks very nice and only one small box on the outside of the house. Also, they installed a guard around the sides to prevent squirrel damage. Each panel has its own meter which helps ensure that each panel is operating properly and that the system is reporting the proper total generation. The post installation support was also very responsive. They scheduled the three inspectors and supported the inspection the day before and immediately after. Also, the office provided a lot of great support and quick responses to allow us to sign up for self-reporting the generation for SREC purposes, which is an extremely convoluted process. We have had a minor issue with the Ensolve box and Impact was quick to recognize it and came out the next day to correct it. Two minor issues. First, they changed the method to rearrange the bathroom venting to allow for a symmetric layout without consulting with us. Second, the payback analysis did not include the cost of money, i.e. how much the money you spent on solar could be making. To be fair, up until the time we were looking, interest rates were so low as to not matter. By the way, we found solar shingles are not ready for prime time for a normal home. They cost more and, more importantly, produce about half of the electricity.
Our first year just finished and we achieved almost 98% of the original quoted estimated rating for our system.

I moved into my house eight years ago and have been intermittently searching for a solar provider. The process always deterred me due to the overwhelming number of solar lead generators and companies that felt like dealing with used car salesmen. The ROI never seemed worthwhile, and the push for lease options was off-putting.

About eight months ago, I decided to give finding a solar provider another shot. We have a pool, an electric car, and like to keep the AC running cold, all of which consume a lot of electricity. Our annual electricity bill is around $4,500. After receiving multiple quotes from the usual big providers, I stumbled upon Impact Solar through a Google search. From my initial contact, it was clear that Impact Solar operated differently. Jeff from Impact made me feel like a solar partner, involving me in the process rather than treating me as just another sales lead.

The initial quote from Jeff was competitively priced, lower than those from the big providers. The ROI made the decision straightforward. With the federal tax credit, SRECs, and the elimination of our electricity bill, I will break even in about six years and then have no electricity bills thereafter.

Once I agreed in principle to the quote, Rob, the owner, came to my house for an assessment. I have a preference for founder-led companies, especially when the founder is hands-on. Rob’s passion for roofs, solar energy, and customer service was evident. After our conversation, I felt confident in trusting him and his team with the installation.

Rob and his crew completed the installation on time and as planned, with no issues. The system has been online for about six months, generating the electricity that Jeff and Rob promised. During the early months of the year, I produced a surplus of electricity that PSEG has banked. With the warmer months approaching, I expect to use more electricity due to the pool heater and AC, but the banked electricity should help me break even, as the system was designed to do.

In summary, I couldn’t be happier with Impact Solar and would recommend them to anyone considering solar.

Impact solar has been the least pushiest, down to earth solar company I have ever dealt with. I was in the market for solar panels for my roof and I talked to about 5 companies in the area. Impact has answered all my questions and explained everything every step of the way. I have talked to Jeff, Rob, Michelle, and Sean so far and they have all been great. They keep you informed every step of the way. The whole process from start to finish was about 3ish months. But so far I couldn't be happier. The panels work and look great. If anything were to happen I would have a great warranty too. Thank you impact solar.

We engaged the team at Impact Solar after talking to multiple installers (local and national). All of our interactions with the team showed that there is a huge amount of attention to detail with the ultimate goal of getting their clients exactly what they want. They are not the cheapest installer, but after comparing I found their pricing to be very competitive given the quality of the panels and installation service.

Solar is a big, relatively expensive project with a large number of moving pieces. Impact Solar went above and beyond to ensure that everything went about as smoothly as possible. There was one delay due to panel sourcing, but even that was a positive experience. I was made aware of the delay ahead of time and expectations were managed appropriately.

Overall I would highly recommend Impact Solar for your next Solar project.
