After years of great service, our 30 year old system finally bit the dust. Doing our due diligence we contacted several companies to get quotes on a new system. We felt that having three to four quotes we would have enough information to make a decision on the unit right for us. We were surprised that with a few companies it appeared as if they didn’t want our business since we had to call repeatedly just to try to get a quote. We wanted to work with a company that was in our area and as a last resort we contacted Alan with Comfort Climate Service on a Thursday afternoon. By Friday, Alan was able to quickly come out to do a quote. He even took it a step further by looking at our old system to see if it could be fixed to at least keep us warm until a new system was installed. Unfortunately the unit was a total loss. Not only did Alan take the time to educate us on a variety of different manufacturers but he provided a quote with options for us to consider. Because of his quick customer service we received our quote fast and was able to get the unit installed the following Tuesday. Comfort Climate Service did an excellent job installing our new system. We will not use anyone else for any future service or needs and are more than happy to recommend them to anyone who could use their services.

I have used Alan now a couple time with Comfort Climate Services. Last year our AC unit went out and Alan gave us a great price on a new unit. He was even able to get the unit installed the same day I called. We had to call him again this year because a contractor pulled some wires out of a sensor. I called Alan based on some of the reviews here, so I definitely wanted to share my experience with Comfort Climate Service.

I have an outdoor packaged unit (gas heat and AC). Earlier this summer, we found that the heat exchanger had a leak and would need replacing. We have also had issues with the performance of the AC unit the last couple years, especially in the summer. So, my options were to pay to repair a portion of a 10 year old unit or replace the entire unit.

I called Alan and 3 other HVAC specialists hoping to get some input on why my AC wasn't performing well and how much it would be to replace the unit or repair the heat exchanger. Alan was the only one that was willing to come out to my house and meet with me and not try to give me a price over the phone or via email without looking at my situation. He spent a hour with me going over options and issues that could be causing lack of performance. As promised, by the next morning he gave me pricing for all of the options I had asked for.

We decided to go with the new unit and so far (2 days in) could not be more satisfied. Once I gave him the go-ahead, Alan was at our house in 2 days (the day he said he would be there) and worked hard to get the unit installed even though the rain didn't allow him to finish in one day. While I wasn't there when the install occurred, I can definitely see the professionalism and quality of work in comparison to the unit I had previously.

I have used Comfort Climate Service a couple of times now for services at my house and my parents home. I can say without a doubt Alan knows his line of work well and is very honest. He will give you expert advice from a real technician's point of view, and not try to sell you unneeded parts or service. The first time I called to have a preventative maintenance and spring "tune up" done. I also wanted an estimate for a new A/C system because mine is more than 15 years old and another company told me it would not make it though the summer. Alan checked everything out with my system and properly set the refrigerant charge using digital gauges, which is very important for accuracy and efficiency. When he was done he said there was absolutely nothing wrong with my system other than fading paint and would not recommend spending the money to change it. My unit ran all summer without a hiccup, just as he said it would. I recommended Alan and Comfort Climate Service to my father who was having problems with loud airflow in a house they just bought. Alan determined the problem was the return grille was sized incorrectly and needed to have more grille area. Alan made all the calculations for how much grille we needed to add, and worked with us to find an area in the house that would work well and not look bad. Guess what, after the new grille and duct work was installed the system was silent. Not much else to say, his work speaks for itself.

Alan did a great job diagnosing the problem and making the necessary and only the necessary repairs. Honest and and professional service is hard to find these days and Alan at Comfort Climate Services earned our respect. We will definitely call on them for all of our future HVAC needs.

Comfort Climate Service did an excellent job for us!
Alan, the owner, was very kind to do his very best to accommodate our need for an appointment. He, was EXTREMELY THOROUGH with his diagnosis of the problem, double checking everything to be sure of the actual issues. He is VERY patient, and explained everything he was considering that might need repair!! NO question, that we asked, was dismissed, or criticized! My husband and I felt very secure in his explanation and description of the proposed repair.
Also, Alan is very open to inquiries about various AC/Heater models and explaining the pros and cons of each, especially, with regards to our specific house and system. He supplied multiple and various quotes to us, for many possible options for repair and/or repair with upgrade, etc; which gave us good choices for our decision. And, he presented the quotes, in writing with good descriptions of everything, such as components, labor, etc. His prices were very competitive and fair. We really appreciated this, because we felt informed and secure in our ultimate decision.
The day of the actual repair/install of the part needed, Alan worked tirelessly to perform all that was needed to do the job properly. He was extremely diligent in installing the components that needed repair. But, he, ALSO, double checked the heating elements, and a variety of other parts (that he wasn't repairing), while he had the unit open, just to verify that all was in good condition! He, also, made sure that the outside unit was clean, and completely calibrated with the proper Puron levels, etc.
We were so impressed with his dedication and tenacity in performing this job to the absolute best outcome! He worked for hours with an extremely positive attitude!
On the completion of the job, that day, prior to his departure; Alan, was very attentive to any questions or concerns that we might have about anything regarding the AC unit, etc. He gave us some excellent suggestions and instructions for future care and maintenance, and how to get the most efficiency out of our unit.
I would, definitely, recommend Alan and Comfort Climate Service to anyone looking for a repair or a new unit. In fact, he is so honest, that he suggests that his clients get a few other quotes before making their final decision; so that they feel confident in their choice. I have already referred a couple other friends to Alan.
We are so glad that we used Comfort Climate for our job; and, we look forward to continuing our relationship with Alan and his company.
