I wanted to install solar due to my high energy bills. So I decided to research on online for different companies for solar and immediately momentum called me back. I had meeting that day with Marcus (an awesome sales rep.). He sat down with me and explained everything very thoroughly and answered all my questions. By the fourth day I had everything installed and completed. A wonderful team that was punctual and informative. Marcus also followed up on how the install went. I recommended momentum because it was a positive and quick experience.

I had zero issues with my roof before Momentum went to work installing their solar panels. I have since had THREE leaks above my pool and my pool bathroom ceiling literally caved in from the massive leak. To make matters worse; my solar panels stopped working in September 2023 and did not go back online until February 2024. I had to pay exorbitant power bills as a result - on top of the monthly payment to Dividend, the company that issues loans for these installs. Representatives sent to my house were not always the kindest people and had little experience repairing anything. On one occasion, a 10 year old boy who accompanied the TWO leak repair guys identified the problem and advised the adults that they were working on the wrong panel. I tried to be reasonable with them when calling for maintenance and after the ceiling cave in they tried to make me sign a general release that demanded I remove any negative mention of Momentum. Needless to say, I refused the release. The pittance Momentum was offering did not reach the level of a general release that tied my hands against any future claims of incompetence. I'm already bracing myself for the next problem. Luckily, I have a very competent attorney and they have been monitoring all communication.

My advice to any potential solar panel buyers is to choose another company for your solar needs. If not, you risk living through your own nightmare.

8/21/24 - The issue has still not been resolved. I sent an email today to the response I recieved on this review. When I call, they asked me to wait until the beginning of August. Now they want me to wait until September. This is scary bad. I'll update if I hear back from their support team....

I have had Momentum for about a year now, and my breaker has tripped twice, rendering my panels completely useless for about a month. I had no idea until I saw my energy bill. It makes no sense that a company that makes money charging for electricity would not ensure that electricity is being generated. Momentum should be contacting their customers the second their system stops generating power. I'll update my review once I get a response from Momentum, but as things stand now, I would not recommend them.

My experience with the company was underwhelming overall, but Marcus C stood out as a shining star. They were knowledgeable and dedicated, providing excellent service throughout. However, the company's communication was lacking, leading to delays and technical issues post-installation. Pricing was also less competitive than expected. While I can't recommend Momentum Solar, I highly endorse Marcus C for their exceptional service and professionalism
