San Angelo dispatch sent AEP to check on wires down In the street in front of my home after a dust storm. The gentleman helped me identify the wires and to whom they belong. Polite and helpful.

If you could avoid AEP I would. They are horrible. Been waiting a month to get a meter put in and they keep making excuses and lying. As of date no one from AEP has showed/ came out to property.

as an actual licensed electrical contractor in the state of Texas I have to say this is absolutely the worst energy company to work with their disconnection / reconnection crews argue in front of our customers. They have no sense of urgency for their/our customers too bad the only choice people have other than AEP since they run a monopoly is to go solar. But God forbid you actually try to add value to your home and lower your outrageous monthly light bill because the whole San Angelo AEP group will make it as hard as possible on you and the contractor. They don't value you as customer they only value your money. Out right crooks!!

I had a small limb fall off a tree and it was hanging on the power lines to my house. It was in danger of pulling over my service mast. I called AEP, and within 1 hour 4 bucket trucks arrived and had the limb off in minutes. I see the negative reviews, but my experience tonight was exemplary.

My electricity account was acquired by a new company. I did not pay attention to correspondence I recieved from that new company so my services were disconnected. When I arrived home at 7:15 pm on a 100 degree day, I contacted the electricity company to get services back on. They informed me that a reconnection request was submitted and that AEP was going to handle it. In just under an hour from that request, my electricity was back on! The service was very quick especially for it being done just after 8:00 pm.

I was without power for more than 24 hours. I went solar and the solar contractor came out to do a meter can upgrade to 200amps they finished their work and had a preclearance to have it reconnected they finished at 4 but apparently AEPs reconnection team does not work after 3pm or at least that's what their technician mike Laughlin of San Angelo AEP said! Don't recommend terrible customer service!
