I was using Green Mountain Energy for over 5 years, and I made the switch to NEC CO-OP Energy because I saw they were non-profit. My bills have gone down significantly. I like that their prices are fair and reasonable. They aren’t trying to make profit off of an already profitable sector. I also got tired of having a “fixed rate” for a “fixed time frame”, and then having to talk to some outsourced company to negotiate a new contract. I wish I would have signed up earlier. Love my service.

Rude Staff. Inconsistent due dates and charges.

Also like to point out after they over charged my account the month and admitted to doing so, they charged my bank again and put it into the Red and I got hit with an item return fee. NEC is a joke of a company and should consider themselves lucky that they are allowed to run a monopoly over electricity in CC, because with out that they wouldn't have any business

Just got my bill that included the time during the deep freeze event. My bill didn't go up at all. Turns out NEC is not involved with that ERCOT wholesale price system. NEC rocks!

I have them for 3yrs never missed a payment and never late but I completely forgot to pay my bill last month and now they charged me a whole nother deposit of 550 and late fees just paid 350 for my late bill and just paid another 400, on this Bill and they're saying that I owe another 700 as soon as I can't I Am done I will finish somewhere else to get electric and they are not about the customer that is a lie

This is the behest crooks in south Texas, you are not allowed to choose your provider if you are stuck with them you will pay outrageous prices and there’s nothing anyone can do about it

You need really good credit to get service. I called and tried to get service and the sales rep straight told me my credit score needs be really good. Before even asking me any questions. RIDICULOUS!!! I GIVE THEM A 0.
