It was awesome before they sold the business. They no longer accept waste like they used to (they only accept bagged waste which they charge by the bag for) and they will pay for scrap metal that's about it.

If you have to get rid of a couch, or table and chairs dressers, or other large items that aren't metal then it can't be done here.

What's worse is the company they sold to has a huge minimum dollar amount and requires safety gear like hard hats and orange safety vests. It's a shame because this was the best place in Georgia in my opinion. You couldn't beat it before they sold out.

I have rented a dumpster from 400 Waste and Scrap several times. They are always very careful with drop-off and pickup, and the drivers are always courteous, professional and friendly. To schedule a rental, I always speak to Tammy, who is very knowledgeable and easy to talk to. She was so patient with me when I was a newbie, explaining the options and how the rental works. So easy! I expect to use them again as we complete our renovation project.

400 Waste and Scrap in Dawsonville, Ga. was very helpful in answering many questions I had regarding the disposal of appliances, and other large items. One of their employees, Tammy, was very nice and explained in detail where I needed to back up to have the appliances unloaded. The men that unloaded my vehicle were pleasant and assisted me in backing my vehicle up due to not being able to see out the rear view mirror, they made sure I could see them in my side mirror and guided me where to go. I canceled my home trash pick up company, and find it convenient and economical to drop my household trash there once a week. Thank you for your friendly and helpful service!
