You will LOVE doing business with Mark Heard Fuel Co. I have been in Cumming GA for almost 40 years before moving to Lumpkin County. Gas service was already set up with Mills fuel Service so I let it ride. Being a busy guy, I always meant to call Mark Heard since I have known of them all these years. Fast forward to yesterday I woke up with no heat, I checked the tank... empty. I call Mills fuel and after the very rude lady chastises me for letting myself run out of gas she informs me it will be 10 days before they can do an inspection which now required since I let it run out. I ask, isn't there something you can do sooner, I have a 5 year old and 9 year old at the house and it will be in the low 20's, "You shouldn't have let the tank run dry" I am told again. Not helpful I say can you please talk to someone? She was not happy but agreed to talk to the boss whenever he returned. I then start driving to work can not get Mark Heard on the phone so I stop by. I am greeted immediately, I explain the situation and they say we will of course get your heat on. We couldn't answer because our internet service has a line cut, we would get you today but without internet we will see, give me a couple hours and I will call you back. At this point I have been talking to Mr. Heard himself. I got a call a couple hours later from the inspector and he said I will be at your house at 8.30 in the morning, get your inspection done and get a gas truck there right away, don't worry we will have your heat back on before we leave. They came on time, inspected, the gas truck arrived and it's all done by 10.30 AM. I am now signed up for automatic replenishment which Mills fuel does not offer and I am all set. This is an example of an excellent Company and why I always buy locally if possible. If you're a Mills customer and get the rude treatment everytime you call as I did, don't just live with it, call Mark Heard fuel Co, it is worth the small amount of time invested and you will be happy that you did, the sign up was both almost immediate and seamless PS- Mills did call back after everything was set up at Mark Heard and she let me know, " The boss came in and I talked to him but he is gone again, he said the 13th is the first chance we will have to come out. THANK YOU to all the employees at Mark Heard that made running out of fuel in 21 degree temperatures actually a good thing. haha. Mike

When you get tired of dealing with other providers who do not care about you as a customer, come to Mark Heard Fuel. We called at 2:00pm and they had a tank to my house before 5:00 PM the same day. The new tank was full and they had all of our appliances running by 6:00pm. We had already waited 8 days to get propane from another supplier and were told it would be 3 more before they could arrive.
Our crew that came out has over 60 years of experience working at Mark Heard. This was 1 install man and 1 man providing the propane. Between the two of them, they have seen a lot and they know how to treat customers. Mark Heard Fuel had these guys in new trucks and equipped with all the right tools to get the job done. Thanks for coming out in the cold and over delivering on customer service. You have a customer for life!!!

Auto charged my card and refused to switch it to another card so I had to file a charge back.

Great service and great price! Mr. Heard and his crew helped out big when AmeriGas failed and left us dry on gas for 5 days. Heard's crew came out on Saturday in under 4 hours from calling them, filled both our tanks at a reasonable price, lit all appliances, and we had toasty toes by nightfall. Will be switching my other properties to them. Happy customer. Would invest in this kind of company ... category killer on customer service!

Amerigas failed us, called these guys on Friday 10 minutesbefore closing and they said they would be out Monday or Tuesday. They showed up Saturday and got got us hooked up. Almost 1 dollar less than Amerigas per gallon and none of the additional fees. Choose local companies over multi national corps.

I am sure it is a good business. Reviews are positive for residential propane, but no good for refilling mobile propane tanks (smaller than 40lbs). They charge a flat rate and not per lbs of propane filled. I paid $20 to fill a 20lbs tank. So regardless if you have a empty or 3/4 tank, you will pay $20.

We have used this company for many years for our fuel supplier and never had an issue. Their price has always been reasonable. We left a larger company after finding that they deliver to our area and have always had great service. Even when we had a problem we were able to get a rapid resolution.
