It takes a lot for me to write a negative review. Especially since I am a local business owner myself. However I felt the need to share my story in hopes it may save someone else from having the same experience.
Our business has relied on LP Service for propane for going on 7 years now.
At some point last year that I noticed our monthly propane bill getting higher and higher and higher. To where it was consistently over $200 each month for LP gas.
Our business has electric heat pump and water heater. The ONLY appliance we have that uses gas is a propane fireplace that we rarely use to warm the showroom and for display purposes. It is only used a max of a couple hours a day on only the coldest days, never after hours or on weekends. The last four monthly fill ups they claim to have added exactly 70 gals, 70 gals, 80 gals, and 60 gals. I know this is impossible. This results in our monthly bills being in the $200-$300range.
I’ve called multiple times to express concern that something is off as the fireplace would have to run near 24 hrs a day 7 days a week to burn that kind of fuel. We did rule out possibility of a leak. Last month after getting another insane bill I told LP service I want to observe my next fill up to see if we are actually getting 70+ gallons of propane added.
So today when the driver showed up I walked outside and asked to see how much fuel was added. To my astonishment, he said the tank was nearly full and did not need any fuel added. This is the first time I believe in at least the last 2-3 years that we used a minimal amount of propane, so little that it wasn’t worth topping off. We used the fireplace at least as much as last month and about the same as all the previous months that were costing me $200+
The only difference was that I was standing there today observing the driver.
I honestly hate accusing a man of being dishonest but when I questioned the driver why there is always $200 or more in fuel used but I essentially have used none since last fill up his only response was “he wouldn’t trust the folks in his office”
So I called today and spoke with the office manager Karen Webb who confirmed all the information I have laid out in the above review but offered no real solution other than she would be talking to the driver about his comment and that they have a great reputation.. Really? 3 stars? She also tried to explain that it’s just a coincidence that the fuel usage is always in the 10s. The fact that I’ve never had anything but 60,70,80 gallons added when the truck meter reads down to the decimal is also very very suspicious to me.
I have canceled my service with LP in Clarkesville and will be switching to a different propane provider going forward.

My dad has been doing business with these jokers for 21 years paying gas prices 3 times higher than average as he was letting mom handle everything since there elderly thAy were coming regularly dad said it was there job to check and fill tank monthly . Since He's paying thEmb monthly it's thEre job. Well thAy get a new fence put up the propane company and are trying to stif it to customers. Adding in extra charges here and thEre .mom goes into hospital for 3 mos dies and has to pay for cremation 2 days later the tank has gone empty and it messed up appliances in house .we call thEmb and thAy say well we decided to quit coming with no phone call or bill stating so . But u can bet thAy wanted an extra 100 dollars to do a pressure check on tank on a problem thAt thAy created . These people are very unprofessional .I can't wait to buy a new tank from another gas company and get away from thEse bums .

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. I just noticed that they have been charging me $130/month for gas for my fireplace when they used to charge quarterly. They have also been double charging my card. We will be changing gas companies as soon as possible.

I thought I needed to rent a tank as one at house I bought was old.
Service manager was able to accommodate me in a few days. They sent out a crane with John and Justin and they said it did not need to be replaced. Two other guys came out and filled the tank. Leak tested and lit pilot for me. I was very happy. Employees were very helpful and I deeply appreciated their service.

I have been a customer for over five years and even had my portable cylinders filled there, despite it costs quiet more than an exchange at Walmart, but I want to support local businesses.
After having a leak in May I turned off the tank. I called LP gas service in September to check on the leak and through corrosion, the leak was gone, so they charged me $100 service fee for nothing! They were not willing to take off the charge, even though I am a loyal customer since quiet a while. So I canceled the service and switch over to another local company who are more customer friendly. I would not recommend them anymore.

I have never had L P Gas Service and now I will never recommend them. I bought a house that had one of their tanks that was abandoned by the
previous owner. They showed up wanting to take their tank, and I understand that. The problem was that we have this property as an AirBnb. All I asked was for them to come 4 days later when we didn't have renters. Dylan claimed to be the owner and told me that they were there and getting it no matter what. I would suggest nobody do business with a person that would treat someone like that. AlI I needed was a simple date and we could of worked around his schedule if he didn't want to work around ours.

I used “LP Gas” when I lived in the North Ga. Mountains, (Rabun County, Tiger Ga.)
they were the best!
I purchased a new tankless hot water heater from them! They ran all the new gas lines, installed my tankless hot water heater, installed new gas logs and I could not have been more pleased! The personal customer service I always received was genuine and appreciated!
I was over the moon to be part of their
customer based family!
I stayed on their “keep full plan”
I was never without gas!
Good folks, I miss them now that I’m in Al.
They’re the best in North Ga.

I called them in desperation, after I moved to Al.,
for information on what to do in Al. since no one here in Shelby County Al., could help me for 6 months?! I ended up buying a 350 gal used AG propane tank on the phone, from LP Gas! They put my concerns to rest! I trust them completely!
Surprisingly no one in Al. could seem to find a used tank, I could purchase through the
Covid shortages of everything?!
I paid a logistics company to pick up the tank in Clarkesville Ga. and they delivered the AG tank
to my lake house in Birmingham Al. !

They filled the tank as promised, but do not expect to get any money back for partially used portions of a tank once you move from a property. I have had service with other gas companies before and they have provided a partial refund for gas at the current rate when I moved, then charged the incoming resident for the leftover gas. Not this company! They left me to negotiate for reimbursement from my landlord, which essentially made me feel like they stole from me. Particularly since they won't let you fill a tank partially full. Save yourself the headache and use another company if you have a choice.
