We just moved here and they shut off our gas with no warning or communication, the tech had to have seen the two vehicles and our trailer in the street and lights on with people inside. Didn't knock or warn us about it, no note or tag. The man on the emergency line was rude and condescending, I'm assuming because he had to actually do his job. When we finally get things squared away it take them TWO DAY TO GET IT BACK ON. Terrible costumer service inconsiderate and rude. Typical monopolized utilities service. I've been treated better the DMV.

Called on 11/7/24 @ 8:35am to inquire on a return deposit after moving out my home on 08/29/24 mind you this is my second calling about the return of my deposit. After verifying my information and updating it. I was told the check was sent out on 10/21 to the address I updated ok we hung up. Then I thought about so I called back and the same person picked up.I asked how did the check issued out on 10/21 get the address I updated. When I just gave it to you because my mail was on hold. Immediately a attitude and stated I was recorded wonderful I will just follow up with the better business bureau.

I wish I could leave zero stars. First off the lines of communication with customer service is horrible. They tell lies stating that they can’t see any information that was sent over. Not only did the Doctor send the information over from the doctor’s office and I emailed the information over. I have a email confirmation and a fax confirmation that successfully stated that they received it. Long story short, couldn’t stay in my home for the holidays with a disabled child and it’s freezing in the home. Liberty utilities refuse to come out and turn the heat on. They’re not there for the Customers and they need to open back up the lobbies.

Paid a deposit and had to wait 2 weeks to have service started in DECEMBER! with 7 children in the house youngest being 6 months old and 25°f weather. Finally the date for startup rolls around and the service man never even knocked on the door left a door hanger notice and left. within 10 mins of him leaving I was already on phone with customer service to see when he would be able to make it back out being he never even attempted to get someone to the door and was told it would be another week which would make it after Christmas before he would make it back out. So I canceled my service and now have to wait 60 DAYS for a refund on my deposit. DO NOT ! I REAPEAT DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! THEY ARE A JOKE !

I'm on budget billing. I pay $50 monthly. According to my usage I average $46.71 a month. At the end of the year they say my "true up" is $116. How can I owe more when I've been over paying all year. The math ain't mathin. I called and they said their system is down, I need to call back. I said when. They don't know. Ripping folks off.

I use maybe $5 a month in gas but have a $60-$70 bill due to the extra fees they add. This shouldn't even be legal. They also require a high security deposit while keeping it for a year or more. They randomly send people out to your house for whatever reasons and they don't knock or call before randomly showing up. I wish there were other options but this is it unfortunately.

Liberty made sure I knew they are my only option for gas so I either sit at my home from 8 AM to 6 PM waiting on them to show up or they will not transfer my service. So I sit at home 8 AM till 6 PM and no one shows. Reach them after hours and they say it was never dispatched. Adding insult to injury, I spoke with them twice during the day and each time I was assured they were coming. They politely informed me my only option would be to reschedule for another day and take another day off from work. Unfortunately, unlike a competitive industry, they are correct in that I have not other option. There is no recourse because they have no competition. There has got to be a way to not allow a monopoly like this.

I agree with the two customers who stated that this company is poorly managed. They have exceeded all levels of incompetence!!! I’ve been waiting almost three months to have my gas turned on. Every time I I call I get the same sorry answers. One of the agents Tim told me there no way to escalate this to a supervisor after me waiting two months. I wouldn’t be so upset if I hadn’t forked out over a grand for a plumber only for liberty to disappear even though they were at my house and told the plumbers they would be back. After waiting an hour or so the plumber left.

In August 23 I was told Your service has been put through for installation. As soon as I know what day I will let you know. Someone over the age of 18 will need to be present in the home when tech comes and installs the meter. You do not need to do anything further. Totally incompetent and poorly trained.
