This place deserves every 1 star review they have and more. They send out bills with one amount on it and shut off your water when u pay the amount on your bill because they've added fees they never told you about. Even when you go to pay the bill, they won't alert its a balance left. They have the rudest attitudes and the way they do things can't be legal. This is ridiculous!

Editing my original review from 3 years ago to explain why I rate this place 1 star: the people that work here take particular delight in making your life worse. Yes, I understand if I don't pay the water bill by the can notice you will cut it off. I understand you have to punish lower income families with a service fee for the privilege of having that water re-connected while paying that bill off. I came to pay it and I have no inclination to be rude or talk down to the people that can get it running again: Why are you rude to me? Consistently? Over the twenty years I've lived in Centerville I've never had a normal exchange with the women in this office. If you don't like people, don't work in a customer-facing position. I'd rate you zero stars if possible and wish you all the best in finding your dream job, which will likely be the DMV, Corrections, or euthanizing beloved pets. Bless your heart.

Zero humanity for families in hardship or requesting extensions. Cut off is about a week after the bill is due while our neighboring houston county utility department gives 3 months before cutoff. God forbid THEIR online service malfunctions during the payment process and then your water gets cut off with an added late fee and cutoff fee. Disgraceful. Welcome to the center!

Moved out of town and when I called trying to cancel my utilities account, they told me I had to personally come in to their office (not even a relative who is in town) to cancel my service. Unreal how wasteful that is when a simple phone call or online form could easily do the same. Absolutely ridiculous.

Most ridiculous,i have been here dealing with this Dept.since 2012,the worst of it is the fact that water and gas for Centerville not the same people so to pay your water bill and your gas bill you have to go to two different places on top of that they do not give you a timely manner they will cut your water off that same month I was a member of Warner Robins Department for 9 years they always gave a two-month leniency on paying your bill and we're not cut it off unless it lapsed more than 2 months the gas however it's so ridiculous that I failed to even use or buy gas anymore because I live in Centerville didn't have nowhere near the issues when I lived in Warner Robins I feel the only way to do with Centerville is to pay annually or not live there at all but I am not one of those people like my grandfather who will pay annually as I do not know how long I'm going to live there and deal with that sort of nonsense

In 10 years I've never had a problem here. If an issue came up it was always handled with kindness, respect and professionalism.
