They're leaving us without power for four to five BUSINESS days. We moved the electric box which we told them we were going to do. They didn't tell us until after the fact they wouldn't send them for days. My mother has no legs, stuck in a wheel chair, and they just don't care.

We recently had brown outs at the house. Some of the house had power and the rest of the house had no power. It took a couple visits coming out to catch the problem but each time I called in to Sawnee EMC I had a helpful technician on the phone and crews out to the house quickly. They set me up on a service saver so we had power for the weekend and they are going to send out a crew to replace the underground service wire that has failed. Each time I called Sawnee they had help available during non-business hour times. Thank goodness for Sawnee and their accessibility. The house didn’t seem to have issues during normal business hours. Ha! In the interim, we had TE Certified electricians come put a whole house surge protector on our panel to prevent damage to our appliances when power was inconsistent. You can see one light is dim and the other light is normal. I definitely recommend them to install a whole house surge protector in the event you don’t have one. it was a little over $600 but peace of mind to protect our major electrical systems (AC, furnace, kitchen appliances, TV). Between Sawnee and TE…the house is covered. Thank you!

There is a reason monopolies are never good for the consumers who are forced to use them! Sawnee EMC is the monopoly in my area (Johns Creek) and as much as I'd like to get rid of them, I can't. My bill this month isn't due until 1/28 so last week, on 1/14, before heading out of town for work, I paid my bill in full, using my bank account. I must have entered something incorrectly because I received an email from Sawnee EMC, letting me know my bank had returned the payment as an incorrect or invalid account. Now, I have a $60 charge from Sawnee EMC for this. Today is 1/20. I still have another 8 days to pay my bill but because I must have made a mistake when I entered my bank account, they will not remove the charge. They have non-existent customer service. Their policy will always will always win and you don't have a say in anything. I only wish I could leave them and go with another company ASAP!

Customer service was awesome. I reported a street light out online and was fixed in 24 hours and I received several emails following up. Very rare these days.

Had my power go out at 435 in the A M. Made a call to 911, and within 10 minutes, they were out working on the issue. They finished by 625 A M. Now it was pouring rain, lightening, windy, and cold. God bless those workers!!!! They are heroes to me

This is the worst utility company on planet Earth. God forbid you ever have an issue with service or your bill, you are guaranteed to be met by trash with an attitude that cannot be measured on any scale. I have spoken with three different employees now. I have remained calm and professional everytime, only to be met by garbage humans with an attitude everytime. If you can avoid using their service, I highly recommend you do so!

The most racist company to deal with the director advised me the calls aren’t recorded and because of my race and I hadn’t been in business with them for a long time they can’t waive a one time late fee I accrued for something completely out of my control. Disgusted as a consumer to say I do business with this company.

We've had Sawnee since June 2018 and have always received excellent service. Our power went out in half of our house randomly one Sunday and they sent a contractor out to fix it within a couple hours (ended up being wiring at our meter that needed to be replaced). Also, when other areas around us have lost power during storms, our lights have only barely flickered. I also always get to speak to a person when I call and they're always very friendly. I've never had a negative interaction with Sawnee.
