Not a company I would ever use again, nor recommend to anyone. We had a fault light (reported it to them) on our newly installed 23 panel system. The technician came and did nothing. Because of their inaction and possible manufacturer's defect a house fire erupted (see picture). $400k in fire, water damage, broken windows and 1 year dislocation thanks to Sun Solar World.
There is one star because you can't give zero.

In response to owners request:
The review is true and accurate. As stated the issue was not the installation but the lack of corrective action to the fault light/malfunction. Sceenshots of text messages and documentation support this. Your lack of accountability and attempt to shift blame is typical of a company trying to cover a mistake-- not responding appropriately to the system's warnings.
Additionally the investigators did outbrief that the although the installation was not the direct cause of the fire there were expedient cost cutting methods used that indicated sub-standard work. You would know this if you hadn't left early the day of the investigation. I am writing what I was told by more qualified personnel and what I know to be true and accurate.
Thankfully for us there were no personal injuries.

I cannot recommend this company enough! Josef is amazing to work with - very dedicated, down-to-earth, and honest about the project and every element. The crew was professional, courteous, and provided quality work. If you have any issues with the system (whether from installation or just bad luck with equipment), Josef makes it right and takes care of you every step of the way. Even after the installation was complete, Josef and the crew still take care of you! After many quotes and meetings with various companies, I chose Solar Sun World and have not regretted it one moment!

FIVE BIG STARS: This is a *terrific* company with (literally) German installation precision. We have had our system since 2012 and it's generated 99.45MWh - the energy we created could power 30,000 for an hour. That means our power bill is cut in half (e.g. no power at night). And we enjoy cool air conditioning for free all summer days. Update: I just saw a previous post where someone complained ("oddly" posting twice to hurt the company). In the 10 years I have known Solar Sun World, they have been totally professional and truly perfect. I've recommended then to friends and all are delighted with their panels. Our Solar Sun World panels are AWESOME. Highly suggested over poorly made, poorly installed competitors.

I guess the biggest compliment a solar consulting and installation company can get is if the utility (EMC) and the inspector states: “the cleanest and best installation I have seen in a long time”. Josef and his team’s installation looks amazing and works as good as it looks. As an engineer I can attest that they set a high bar for any competitor. Our barn installation is far from trivial but they mastered integrating with multiple panels and several rows of breakers and new electrical service without any problems. We can recommend Sun Solar World without any reservations.

We had a PV system installed in November 2019. Josef was very professional in the planning process and helping come up with what I think the optimal layout and design would be, spreading the system to cover two directions for good production over the course of the day. We also included with this a fast-charging system for my plug-in hybrid car.
The installation team was very efficient and thorough, and did an excellent job. We are very pleased with our system, and during the months of April and May 2020 the system actually generated more than we used, thus we were Net-Positive those months!

I had a great experience working with Solar Sun World during all phases of the project. During the proposal phase, Josef made several visits to the house to discuss options for a solar solution (PV modules on roof, inverter and battery storage in basement) that would meet our needs. Josef took the time to explain the pros and cons of several options. During the installation phase, Taylor was organized, efficient and friendly. He clearly explained the work being done and any decisions that we needed to make.

Our solar solution has been operational for a few months, and it is working as intended. The monthly kWh output is consistent with the estimate that was included in the proposal.

Really pleased with our solution and our decision to work with Solar Sun World.

Solar Sun World completed PV system installation at my home Dec 16, 2020. Overall, I am very pleased with every aspect of my interactions with the company. During the planning/estimate phase, Josef Kullman (SSW president) came to my house and provided insightful recommendations regarding system installation, productivity expectations, etc. The proposal Josef hand-delivered that day was very professional; and the installation crew was extremely professional and courteous. Since installation, I've had a few follow-up questions, and Josef has been prompt to respond to my inquiries. I would definitely recommend Solar Sun World.

Ten or more years ago I had several bids for solar all were in 100k range which wasn’t double. In May I investigated again as I was advised there was a price drop and tax credit. Not recalling any of the previous contractors I called Solar Sun World. I talked with Joseph who stated he had given me a quote previously which was a big plus that he had been in business that long . This was a clue his company was reliable.There were no gimmicks or pressure that I had experienced with other contractors.
After conversing ,Joseph presented me with a detailed proposal showing all components and projections on return of investment. After a 7,000 tx credit my cost was 25k. Joseph’s team preformed flawlessly. They started and completed work in a reasonable manner.He is fortunate to have people who take interest in and complete job as prescribed. It was refreshing to do business with someone who preformed what they promised. The whole project was A+ from sale to completion.
