Install went as planned and system appears to operate correctly. I'm only giving three stars though because of one issue and one concern. The issue: The person doing the electrical work literally hammered the new cable bundle into my existing utility panel so they could get the panel cover on. This damaging the cable sheathing. See the attached pictures. This is sloppy work in my opinion. If the limited size of the existing utility panel had been identified during the initial home visit, then PSU could have recommended that the main panel be upgraded to provide more room, or offered another solution to avoid cramming the cables into the panel.

As for the concern. All of the high-voltage electrical work was completed by a person that is not an electrician. My understanding from the owner of PSU is that licensed electrician does NOT have to do the electrical work OR inspect the work after it is completed since PSU is a licensed electrical contractor. In my opinion, given the high-voltage nature of this work, I would have felt more confident having a licensed electrician at least sign-off on the installation.

Just had my first service (outside of installation) from Power Solutions and it was “The Best”! A+. Dustin came out and installed my whole house surge protection system Scott recommended. BTW, I highly recommend this. It is cheaper than a new TV cost! It comes with a life time guarantee and $100,000 insurance policy on anything damaged by lightning. Hard to beat that!

He did everything professionally and safely, double checked the generator startup from power outage. And he even volunteered to look at a ground fault outlet that wouldn’t rest after an electrical storm knocked it out. You got to love that kind of service!

Anyway, the service was really outstanding and my wife liked that he cleaned up his job site when he finished and took off his shoes when he came in the house! When the wife’s happy…!

Great customer service. The small old generator was just couldn't handle the load. They came out to the house, gave me a price and 2 days later we had a whole house Generac generator installed with a 10 year warranty. Highly recommended!

the salesman will tell you all lies to get you to sign a contract. The owner is totally irresponsible.

I purchased a $23,000 whole house generator from Lowe's and they used this contractor. I had to pay the total amount on November 1, 2018.

My contracted completion date was 12/15/17. It is 03/06/18 and my system is still not complete. The gas meter has not been set.

I was told by PSU salesman that I would not have to do anything, they would handle every aspect of the installation. on the contrary, I have spent a good 20 hours on paperwork for the gas meter and working with the natural gas installation contractor.

The owner could have had the system installed in January. We had a long stretch of good weather after the wiring was done and the concrete pad was installed. Instead he went on a snowmobile trip to Yellowstone. Nothing got done those 10 days and I was told he was not returning calls during his trip. I was further told that I had to wait for his return to get any schedule for the install. ended up in a gigantic crane being used over my objections and cracking my driveway in several places. I was supposed to get a PM agreement 30 days ago and have not received it.
A totally bad experience with non professional and untruthful people.
My $23,000.00 has been tied up for over four months and my generator is still not functioning!
