I called last Friday to pay my bill and because the account was in my dad's name and I didn't know the last 4 of his social security number they wouldn't give me the information I needed to make the payment so now here it is Tuesday March 12 and the bill still hasn't been paid and haven't been able to make a special trip out there to pay it in person. They need to get with the program and make there payment options easier. Not good business.

Everytime the power goes out, it takes more than 8 hours to get it back on. And it goes out every time there is a little rain and wind. Everything in the fridge has to be throw out everytime! And, we can't buy what was lost because the DG also has to empty their fridges. It's not just causing a financial hardship on individuals, we as a community are also suffering. Other power companies seem to be able to repair lines in a FRACTION of the time it takes Amicalola. The fact that consumers can't choose who their electric companies are causes this issue. They would be better to the consumer if they had to compete.

I appreciate the customer service; when I call, they are careful to understand the issue and have always addressed it satisfactorily.

The outage map is a challenge to read and understand. We have several outages a year because of weather. I cannot fault the utility for the effects of mountain living on the power grid.

Worst power company possible. Every time the wind as much as blows you lose power. Surge protectors do no good the non stop lose of power and surging is guaranteed to burn up your electronics (speaking from experience). In the past 30 days I have lost power 10+ times this is beyond ridiculous

The people at the office are really nice so i give them 2 stars. But since moving here the power goes out at least once a month. It's 2024 get it together.

Horrible customer service (waiting on the phone a minimum of 15-20min) I went to the Dahlonega office in person and requested email bills & paper copy sent. I received NEITHER and after calling 5 times finally got an answer and was informed I have a late fee even though a bill was never sent. The office lady was rude and informed me their records stated email bills only even though I double checked IN PERSON shortly after the account was set up. Overall poor customer and response service. Amicalola EMC takes 4-5 days longer to restore power than any of the other local power companies (Jackson Electric & Georgia Power) after a bad storm.

I haven't had any problems with them. It's easy to pay the bill online every month and my transaction history is available online. When there are outages in inclement weather, one can go to the website and see the reported outages and reporting an outage is relatively simple.

I’ve been a satisfied customer of Amicalola Electric going on 3 years now. I had an unfortunate billing issue but it was all resolved by Leah at the Dahlonega office. She looked at our history as a customer and focused on resolving our problem. She did a great job and I would definitely choose to receive my service through Amicalola Electric in the future.
