I always pay my bill right on time and just don't understand why my road has no power since Friday morning. I live on blue hole Rd in elberton. All the roads that we are connected to have power so why have we been skipped

During the winter weather event we had a few weeks ago a tree fell dragging the powering down and on top of my roof! I called and the guys from EMC were there in no time! They were so nice and although I'm sure they had many more calls coming in, they took the time to answer my questions and did everything they could to take care of the situation! They really handled their job with professionalism and courteousness!

It is official!! Straight from Angie Browns mouth(public relations for Hart EMC) that squirrels are the reason the same 3 roads in lake harbor shores keep losing power.Not any of the other roads in here because squirrels are very picky about who's power they want to go out mind you.We lose power at least twice a month and have flutters constantly. She stated our trees need to be cut back even though they just did that in here in August. As usual they take no responsibility for the multiple outages we have in here even though it's almost always the same 3 roads and on a constant at that!! We as a community are sick of the terrible service out here and the constant lies and cover ups!! We aren't stupid Hart emc so just know we are keeping track and a lawsuit is coming!!

The linemen, Chuck, Adam and Derek that I dealt with were amazing! They were so quick to answer my question via text or would call me back in a reasonable time. Operator told me a time frame that was very unreasonable and when I contacted Adam he got with the supervisor Chuck and he called me and let me know they would be out there within a few days to get our power pole installed so we could make it to our closing on time! Derek found my husbands drill in our driveway when he went to install the pole and he called me and let me know he found it and put it up safely for us. Great customer service from them! Very thankful for them!

Hart EMC is absolutely horrible! I would avoid them in anyway if you can! I unfortunately have to have multiple accounts with them and they have been terrible from the start. They can never hook up a house by address, they can’t never seem to find the home in the system and have to have the meter number, so make sure you have that on hand if you absolutely have to set up with them. Also beware if you ever receive a notice about “tree trimming” from them. It’s not a trimming, the will completely remove all of your trees, they won’t even mark the trees or anything before coming out and just cutting them down, they don’t give you the option to relocate the trees either. I know because I just lost two very expensive crape myrtles, that were probably older than the people they sent to cut them down. They also won’t stay in the right of way, they drive all over your property, your septic lines and tank included, but when it breaks they won’t be responsible to pay for the repair. They also left the “trimmings” stacked up on the back of my property, because why would they bother to clean up the mess they made. Don’t bother calling the right of way supervisor, it will just go to voicemail because they don’t care. This wouldn’t be an issue if Hart EMC would put their lines on the right of way of the road instead of zigzagging them through peoples homes. If you have the option for another power company I highly suggest using them, I so wish Georgia power would come right down the road so I could switch!!

I came a few months back because I wanted to settle my grandmother's estate but didn't realize the power bill had lapsed. I wanted to finish going through and over all the items she had on her home, but as I had no power, I needed to come to here to do what was needed to fix the problem. Most of the employees here are incredibly rude and insensitive to put it simply. They kept rubbing in my face over and over the fact that my grandmother had passed away, clearly ignoring any discomfort or sorrow I was expressing. They also kept pushing me past any topic of conversation of what other options I could explore to continue service at her old house, and gave me the ultimatum of pay her old bill or never power her home again, as I couldn't reinstate service in my name until it was settled. Then when I tried to handle said bills, they added all these extra steps they didn't tell me about at all until I was ready to handle what I thought was all I had to do, and then have me even more to do.
I don't think anyone here actually cares about anyone and they are only here to fill their pockets, no matter who gets hurt in the process. They spread out their steps on what to do to avoid doing any actual work for as long as possible. Easily the WORST electric company I've ever had to discuss and have service with.
