Nothing against workers, but everything against whatever system is in place. Delta testing is mostly for online classes, and I feel that most students who take online classes are taking them to make time for their job and other classes. Keeping that in mind I've taken many many tests here and most were good, but when it's bad, it's bad due to the lack of accommodations when you are not able to schedule an exam. Today I tried to change my apointment because there were slots available so I cancelled my appointment to change it (my mistake), it refreshed and all the available slots were gone (including the one I JUST gave up). It makes no sense that the available times would dissappear in seconds. I refreshed the page in disbelief so many times and it never came back. Its been an hour and since then I've emailed my proff (he told me I had to figure something out through delta) emailed delta , called delta , looked at their page for resources. After everything I still have to wait at least 24 hrs to get a response since no one picked up my calls and I only got an automated message for my email. Something similar has happened before 2 yrs ago, even then my calls and voicemails were never replied to and I received a 0 on my exam. Students should be able to schedule their final exams months prior with no problem, all my final exam slots are full in January when my test is in late April. There should be more transparency and felxibilty within the testing system, I'm not sure if its because NCSU doesn't manage/ pay workers well or if the system just sucks but students shouldn't have to constantly speak up for that to be figured out. We should be able to try and make appointments in person or be able to seek help on call, I feel like that might clear up a lot of communication issues. Another suggestion I have is for students to have waitlist options (where they automatically switch to a different slot if it becomes available later down the line since people often change their appointments). Other than that, I don't mind the center or the people who work here when I am able to get an appointment.

Absolutely the worst. 1 min late and missed the exam. Avoid at all costs!
Even though they have a parking deck next to thefacility, the closest parking is more than 2 miles away. Customer service is nonexistent

Always a good testing center! 100% of the tests I have taken here have had positive experiences and there have been quite a few exams. You do have to pay for parking or you can take the Wolfline for free from their many free parking lots. The staff is extremely efficient and courteous while the facilities are quiet and even provide lockers to put your non-test related materials in while you take an exam. No complaints.

On a side note to other comments: I was there the day that the lines were out the door and it was long but really not bad considering the circumstances! The fact that there had been school closures (from a snow storm) during a prime testing period made the lines abnormally long and of course it was going to be cold. This was an outlier day! However, students are able to virtually check in or sign up for time-slots so this does not occur very often and one does not need to wait in these lines.

The place is fine. One downside is that they have no place to sit down before your test except for the three chairs that are outside in the front. Good luck if you get there early and it’s raining or cold. However I will say that if you do get there a little early they just let you start your exam if they aren’t busy.

I don't know why all these people dissing the testing center, the staff are always nice and helpful. It's a super convenient place to take tests that fits your schedule. Just because you're professor over scheduled a testing period so there is a long wait or your saltyass and failed a test doesn't mean you should give this place a one star rating. Also they have stepped up their game with the scheduling and time slots, overall a great facility.

Unaccommodating and Disinterested in supporting students.
As an employed (full-time) graduate student commuting from out of area to take tests at the center, I was late due to a major wreck that caused phenomenal highway traffic. I was refused the option to take the test using the remainder of my allotted time, which is standard procedure for tests completed in the classroom. Despite being the only person in the testing center, the staff were not interested in accommodating my needs. They refused to provide an explanation as to why I could not use the remaining 75 minutes of my 90 minute scheduled appointment, nor change my testing time to the next start time, which I was told, was not at capacity. I was given no other option than to commute back home without having taken the test, and plan to take off additional time from work to make another hour-long trip at a later date. Delta Testing is not interested in supporting employed graduate students whom take valuable time off of work to further their education; it is simply too much of an inconvenience for the staff.

Prepare yourself for a rather unpleasant experience if you can not find another way to take required exams. Deplorable.

Honestly I had a great first experience here. I’ve taken two previously proctored GRE tests off campus that were horrible but this location is super friendly. Everyone was kind and helpful. Their earbuds and headphones are nice. All computers come with music you can listen to while taking the test. The only negative is they don’t have lockers to store your items so I don’t advise bringing valuables with you. They say they have cameras to watch your stuff though.

Variable closing times accompanied with constant distraction from staff and other test takers makes this one of the worst places you could sit for an exam. To top it all off, they have no sense of rational thought when it comes to testing. On an open book open note exam which lasts 3 hours, they permit textbooks and laptops but not bathroom breaks and water; being forced to endure this any longer and I might label the center inhumane. Simply a poor testing environment, go anywhere else.
