The most you give us is a hot dog party (so called customer appreciation) full of fake hellos & goodbyes, save it, don’t need it. After all of these questionable light, water, & more bills are being paid, goodbye. Customer service is trash as well. Next time a bill is trying to get paid, don’t block the door with lousy customer appreciation set ups.

Customer service is non-existent at this place. Google should offer a -5 star option. I give credit where credit is due. I have plenty of supporting documentation/call log of my requests SENT BY A DECATUR UTILITIES REP...then had the "Manager" call me to say they have no record of my call being made. I am not certain what she is "managing" but it certainly is not her department.

Lovely and nice people when I entered to work and service the building. Just because they may not move fast due to the size of the city of Decatur, doesn't mean that aren't doing what they can.

The folks putting the house of cards back together are absolutely fantastic.

The folks that make this system a house of cards to begin with?... Words couldn't possibly communicate the feelings I have towards them.

How often the power goes out genuinely makes me want to live in the wilderness relying on candlelight and a woodfire stove for heat and cooking. It shouldn't be the insurmountable task that it seems to be. If your grid is peaking higher than what you can supply... PERHAPS YOU NEED ANOTHER POWER PLANT. It is, quite literally, NOT ROCKET SCIENCE.

The city of Decatur is a horrible place to live and work, and DU is but one part of the whole that makes this town a stain on America's underwear.

If I could use half a star if not less I would, this is the least productive if not worst electrical engineering company in Alabama. No storms or natural occurrence and yet the grid still has a stroke. And yet the other side of town is completely fine because they aren’t overloaded by a hospital. Even then they decide to ruin the side of town that provides the most in the form of subsidies, despicable and down right ridiculous.

Decatur Utilities is so crooked I don’t understand how other cities send out automated messages if you’re late but not these shady money hungry company they are so quick to cut someone’s power off and charge a reconnect fee that’s higher than the bill. Make it make sense stop being money hungry and try to help out the people in the city. An automated reminder would be nice

If you're a business, good luck, if your check gets lost there is no payment extension option. Threat of disconnection over a whopping $35 bill and we had no history of being late.
