This place is literally NEVER open when they say they are.. they change hours randomly whenever they feel like it I guess. Says they’re open but it’s 11:30am and it still says they’re closed.. what a joke.

Update: went here yesterday to turn in some cans & bottles, the girl running the register was pretty uptight and snarky. They make you do everything while they just stand there.. isn’t that their job? Lol ripped me off too, just go to armona for your recycling. This place is a scam.

Would rate 0 stars if I could.
My husband and I are from out of state but he joined the navy and we got stationed here in California, and we’ve been taking our recycling to this establishment for the past 2 years but we went today and we’re informed that because we have an out of state license plate on our vehicle, they could only give us money back up to a certain amount regardless of how much our total load actually weighed. Tried explaining that my husband is in the navy and that, yes our vehicles are registered back home we’re from but that we’ve been living here the past 3 years and have brought recycling here in the past and have received a larger payout than what they’re saying the maximum is but I was then told basically none of that mattered and there was nothing that could be done.
I understand having a company policy but when we have already been customer to them in the past for larger loads than what we just brought, and had zero choice in the matter of being stationed in California, some leniency should be warranted.
Instead we were met with impoliteness, snotty attitude and complete disregard for the men serving our country.. leaves little thought as to why the quality of life out here is so low.

Arrive at 11:40 today, Saturday, guy says they are closed for lunch until 1. Come back at 1 and it’s closed. With sign saying “closed for lunch from 12-1” it is now 1:10 pm and there are 6 cars waiting. This guy has been on lunch for at least an hour and a half

Never believe the posted hours or the signs they hang on the fence. It is a total crap shoot as to whether or not they might be open.

They don’t post their rules on where you should park. Every time I go the rules change and they rudely tell me to move. Their lunch times are inconsistent. Sometimes they’re open, sometimes they’re not. The one consistent thing about this place is that they think they’re the only game in town and can be rude and treat you like they’re doing you a favor by doing their job. Unfortunately they are the only place in town. If you want a different recycling place and you live in Lemoore, the closest one is in Armona. Today when I was treated rudely once again, I decided it was worth the drive. I won’t come here again.

We got there at 830am. The owner was still setting up. Didn’t bother to come out to tell us he had a couple of other customers to deal with for uhaul rental before us. We had to wait 30mins before he came out to set up the recycling station. Moral of the story, don’t come with your recycle at 830am if you’re in a rush because you’re be waiting a long time to be served.

I've only ever taken cans to this place. They only take deposit plastic, glass, and aluminum cans. To address some other things in the reviews, it's not immaculate or even clean by household standards, but it's not a disgusting squalor fest. It's a somewhat dirty recycling center since it handles dirty stuff 5 days a week. I haven't had a bad experience with employees there. I give them my cans, they give me my money. California law states that only 50 items can be turned in for individual redemption value They're not especially talkative, but I don't go to a recycling center for conversation. If you go at the wrong time, you will have a long wait. Everything is poured into cans and weighed, so it takes time. The good thing to do is just wait outside the fence before they open. The best thing to do is go knowing you're going to have to wait a long time.
