Avoid this place! It's much better to order whatever you need from Wee. This store charges nearly double the price for everything, and it's just not worth it! I felt bad because the lady at the front seemed so sad, so I ended up buying a 10-pound bag of basmati rice for $28. When I tried to pay with my American Express card, the lady scolded me, saying, “No AmEx! Read the sign!” I really should have just left, but my better nature wouldn't let me.

If you're looking for an Asian-focused market in the Goleta/Santa Barbara area this is a great option. Wide selection of various Asian food products including Chinese, Korean, Indian, and Japanese. Cookware and other kitchneware items also available. Some fresh-food or frozen food items as well. They sell PG Tips tea if you're into that, along with a decent selection of Asian teas and alternative hot beverage options. Get Hi-Chews here also. Friendly staff, cash & credit card payments.

Indo China Market is my favorite store in the Santa Barbara/Goleta area. It is a friendly, family-run market, with an amazing variety of Asian foods from Vietnam, Thailand, China, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, etc. If they don't have something you want, they will try to order it. Highly recommended!

This is perhaps the only place that carries some Indian groceries and I am glad for that. But one needs to shop very carefully: look at the expiry dates, shake lentils and powdered products to make sure there are no bugs/worms, and avoid all frozen stuff. Going by how cheap the shopkeeper is, I wouldn't be surprised that their frozen shelves are actually refrozen/thawed - and thereby only as good (or bad, as in this case) as other products in the store.

I love this market. It's definitely my favorite place to shop in Goleta. My fiance and I have been coming here for years and we're always happy with our shopping experiences here and always treated very well by the staff who are always very friendly and kind. There's so many unique and hard to find items here. I really love coming here. Thanks Indo China Market for the amazing foods and great employees!

Such a great selection and there is always something new to discover. I love how they constantly add new items and keep it so interesting. The British section is fantastic and the fresh veggies and herbs are great too. They have great ingredients that I cannot find at the local Japanese food stores. I love this place so much!

Sold us a cheap wok, recommended the more expensive one because “most people buy it because it has the wooden handle” took his (the owner?) word for it. Used it once with plastic coated tongs, didn’t use any abrasive metal utensils on it, and it scratched after the first use. Tried to return it. They have a No Return Policy. Will never shop here again.

Wow... I can't believe the terrible customer service my wife and I got today from the store owner. It was our 1st time here and we only came here because my wife had seen the sign and had told me knowing how I (being from socal) have had a very difficult time finding moat need it and mandatory house hold ingredients. We were in the back looking at what this store carried. This was going to be a spot I would love to return. I like the variety if choices. I was hoping I could come here instead of traveling all the way back to my stomping ground of LA county and Orange County. Unfortunately due to the attitude of the store owner... we will skip on this. Sad really...

Also there was another customer whom was in there. Simply asked if they took EBT. Instead of kindly telling the customer no, he also added a few words telling her that she should have tried another asian store near by. Embarrassed her in front of me and another cust9mer at checkout.
