I think it’s funny there’s a bad review for Mrs. Kelly because that person clearly doesn’t know her at all! She’s one of the sweetest ladies in the world. She cares about her job, her people, and is always incredibly professional. Now she’s no doormat, so if she was stern with you, it’s probably your fault! I hate to put it bluntly like that, but we all know some people can be the problem and still blame everyone else. If you are reading this, do not let that review dissuade you from giving these folks your business. They’re good people and that is hard to come by these days!

Absolute worst vendor of propane in Madison County. Terrible to do business with. Go with anyone else.

To add to my review. I was not a customer with Central Propane. I bought my home and the previous owner rented a tank from Central. However, I was never informed of this and was told by my real estate agent that we owned the tank. There were no markings on the tank.

One day I came home and my propane tank was gone. It turned out that Central propane owned the tank. However, instead of sending a bill for the rent of the tank to my address, or contacting me by mail about the late rent, they just repossessed the tank.

So now I am without heat. I called Central to understand what happened and the lady at the Hazel Green office was extremely rude. She told me that she had no obligation to contact me about the tank and she didn’t have to explain anything to me because I wasn’t their customer.

I also had been filling the tank under the assumption that I owned it. So, when Central took the tank, I had about $300 of propane in it that I purchased. Central refused to reimburse me for the propane that they stole, even though it was worth more than their late rent. They were extremely rude the whole time. I can’t imagine how anyone deals with them on a regular basis.

I now rent from and buy my propane from Heritage. I’ve never had a problem.

Absolute terrible customer service! Receptionist at the Hazel Green location is VERY RUDE. We had a miscommunication and mix up with our propane tank and they came and took the entire tank without any notice. No letter, bill, email, nothing. We would’ve been more than willing to take care of the issue had we known about it. I will absolutely encourage anyone I know to go ANYWHERE but here. Heritage Propane has amazing customer service and they’re always quick! Go see them!
