I rarely write a negative review - but I feel I need to warn consumers. Review of Enphase Energy's Customer Service

I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with the customer service provided by Enphase Energy. Recently, our solar energy system failed, and Enphase Energy's response was far from satisfactory.

We were not alerted to a tripped breaker, which resulted in our system not producing solar energy for 60-days. Unfortunately, we only discovered this issue through the regular monthly report. This delay in notification caused us unnecessary financial loss, as we were unaware of the problem for almost a week.

When we reached out to Enphase Energy to address this issue, we requested compensation for our power bill due to the system failure. However, the company refused, citing a loophole in their policy. This response demonstrated a clear lack of concern for their customers' well-being. The manager we spoke with seemed relieved to have found a way to deny our request rather than offering a solution.

Furthermore, our interaction with Enphase Energy’s customer service was extremely time-consuming and frustrating. We spent 1 hour and 14 minutes on the phone, only to feel abandoned and unsupported by the end of the call.

Overall, our experience with Enphase Energy was disappointing. Their failure to provide timely alerts and their unwillingness to offer a fair resolution reflect poorly on their commitment to customer service. I hope they will take this feedback seriously and improve their support for future customers. In the meantime, I'd advise you to find a different solar service provider.

Terrible customer service. Enphase contacted to do routine maintenance and I gave them dates of availability and then they just ghosted me and never replied. Also now dealing with a micro inverter issue and haven’t been producing electricity for the last three days. Still waiting for a call back after creating a counter of support tickets on the first day. If your solar installer plans to install their products, my advice would be to tell them to use an alternative manufacturer

Just look at the reviews. I’m actually going to talk to consumer lawyer about a class action lawsuit. This system is so low-quality, the inverters go down regularly and that is a cost that the consumer will have to pay for. The whole solar business is a scam, there’s so many of us out here suffering.

Enphase doesn’t even install their own work, you have to go through a third-party “approved vendor.” The manufacturer and the installers are running call centers out of other countries, it is a horrible experience. You may get Boise or India.

They play games with recognizing ownership and transfer. Basically they take the money and then they want to not honor the contracts. It’s consumer fraud. I know when these lawsuits notify the public, there will a settlement or judgement that gets paid and the company will end up going out of business.

Either go with a legitimate reliable company that is not trying to run a bunch of operations from a hack national site, or don’t do solar at all.

I live in Florida I have solar panels on my roof 32 to be exact. They were installed by Efficiency Home. Well, last week Efficiency Home told me there was an error in my readings. So they decide to take it upon themselves to change the settings. I kept calling Enphase multiple times I have even called Efficiency Home and they would never talk to me. Well, I called Enphase back on 5/12/2024 and spoke with a wonderful associate named Crystal. She was able to get my settings back to the way they were supposed to be set. They have been showing readings the way they were supposed to ever since. I am very grateful for the service that I have received on the final call.

Them: I'm sorry we can't remove any certificates. Contact this other department.

It's truly been a pleasure working with Enphase. Every single support case was handled with promptness, courtesy and a resolution was reached quickly. I'd like to specially commend Kelly Hobbs, Sunil Kumar Nagaraj and Brahmaduth T. What they did in a matter of days, Sunrun, Complete Solar and Spruce power had been unable to do for years!!! For the first time in 10+ years I've been able to see what my panels were able to do. I'd strongly recommend homeowners with solar panels directly talk to Enphase and get their monitoring from them rather than companies like Sunrun.

Customer service after I bought a system through them has been really terrible given the money I paid for the storage system. Called to alert them to battery trouble, which you would have thought they could pick up remotely now. They said they would investigate and get back. Two weeks passed and they never followed up. Then they said they couldn’t help and I needed to call the local installer to get help…would have been nice to have known that two weeks ago, and they weren’t even able to transfer me to local installer or make that call for me. Would not recommend them.

We went with this company after being referred by a friend. Do not do business with these people. Our solar system was installed agter months of delays and we continued to get an Edison bill even after our payments began. Their customer service is just as bad. Dead links in their emails make it impossible to get any help. Spend your money anywhere but here.
