Shared an address with someone and, because they can not, now, disassociate me with this person, I am being held responsible for their old bill. How can you make some one accountable for another person and allow them to go free of their debt? It should be illegal to move balances from social to social.

Their automated phone is useless and broken so dont even bother. There's no way to speak to a real person or even the automated person about literally anything. They claimed I didn't have enough in my account to pay my bill, but I did. Then they charged me a $20 "return item charge". If you think I don't have enough to pay my $8 bill, why would you charge me an extra $20? How does that make sense. That more than doubled my bill for no reason! Theyre a predatory company with fake fees just so they can get more money out of you like they don't already make a bunch of money regardless.

I wish I could leave less. The automated phone number is ridiculous. I need to talk to a live person about a billing issue and they have made it all but impossible. We're good enough to pay the bill but not good enough to talk to!! I hate leaving bad reviews but this needs to change!!!

This is the only gas company. I reach out to them when I first move in. they said I was required to have gas due to my HVAC. I ask them if I do not use gas in the summer can I disconnect and reconnected in the winter with out any fees, or additional cost. I was told no. So I went ahead and sign up I called to disconnted my service since the service fee only was almost 9 bucks a month for doing nothing. I ask again will I get a charge when I want to reconnect they said no. also I was told when I was disconnect I will not get another bill. what did you know today I got a final bill. so I called and I said look I was told I would not get a final bill. the agent said you do get a final bill and that the previous agent never said anything in the notes. there was no notes. so I ask to speak to a supervisor. I was transfer to one. TI explain I called 3 times first time when I connected the last time I keep getting different stories. I make my decision base on the information your agents tell me expectedly when I ask repeatedly. Supervisor apologized but will not offer a satisfactory solution.

If zero stars was an option I'd give it. I've lived in my rental property in Montgomery for 14 months now and spire is JUST NOW sending me a bill for $1407.00 I have not received one bill, letter, email, phone call or visit from spire in all of the time I've been here. Called customer service only for "Lori" to tell me " We didn't know who to send the bill to?" When connecting utilities you have to provide all of your personal information to even set up an account so how did you all not know who to send the bill to? I still How do you let a tenant get free gas for 14 months and not notice until now? It's not my job to follow up with spire, it's spires job to follow up with me through monthly billing statements just as Alabama power does, Montgomery water works does, spectrum does etc. Incompetent company and staff.

They lied to me. They refused to accept my bank information to pay the bill even though it's an option during the automated voice when you call. They said I could call early Friday morning when I get the card and have service turned on by Friday afternoon. We call, make the payment and was told that we have to wait until Monday even though we were promised Friday afternoon. When I told her what was said, she said I was never told that and gaslighted me. She said we talked to just her yesterday and that was another lie. We talked to 3 other people, not just her. She then told me she can place an emergency review for it to be turned on by Friday afternoon but it wasn't guaranteed and to be expecting a phone call to inform me if it went through or not. Never got the phone call. Long story short, they'll tell you what you want to hear and then make you to look like the bad guy when they don't do what they say. Will be moving to another gas company because this one is absolutely terrible.

This company is awful. If people weren't forced to use it then it would have been out of business a long time ago. They have a horrible practice of scheduling "all day windows" where you are required to sit by your phone all day and wait for them to call you and let you know they are going to be at your place in 10 minutes. Worse part is they didn't call and just canceled the appointment causing me to lose a whole days worth of work (I took off because I work on a military base in a location where I can't have my cell phone on me). Just look at the reviews if you need more info. This company is costing it's customers tons of money with seemingly no care in the world since they have zero competition here. Just another reason why Alabama is a horrible state to live.
