We are so happy that we chose Liberty Solar to install our solar system a few years ago. The owner (Chad) was absolutely wonderful. He was always available to answer our questions no matter how many we asked and no matter how silly the questions were. The system he installed works perfectly. We have had no problems and of course our PG&E bill dropped dramatically. We reached out to him recently to install a solar power back up battery. As in the prior install, Chad was patient with all of our questions, his price is competitive, and his customer service skills are excellent. We look forward to working with Chad again. I would highly recommend him.

We really like Chad and Liberty Bay. We've had our solar panels installed for about 3 months now, and so far everything is working great.

Chad answered all our questions about components and future service, and designed a system that isn't big but more than meets our electricity needs. We appreciate that he didn't sell us more than we really need. The price seemed quite competitive, based on the other estimates we got.

We were part of the big rush to get permits before NEM 2.0 was phased out, so I'm sure Liberty Bay was inundated with work and requests, like every other solar contractor. There were times that we were anxious about progress on our project, but I attribute it to that pre-cutoff crunch. Once our job was scheduled, the work went very quickly. Our new system was online fast.

I am a full-time first responder and also a part-time facility manager for a local non-profit so I understand what it takes to provide continual good service. I have also been watching the solar industry for over a decade wondering when the best time to jump in would be. So my standards are pretty high.

I recently had Liberty Solar perform the installation of my solar panels and inverter in Richmond CA. I had previously gotten quote from a major solar company (and was actually setting up contract to go with them thinking I had a great deal) when I came in contact with Liberty Solar.

The consultation was phenomenal! I was treated VERY well like a family member, and not as usual like a money-betting horse (as the other company did). I also received a great education on the solar business, what it becoming, and what available options I had to me, as well as backup battery, and inverter purpose and costs. In addition they were able to replace my roof at the same time as well as the PG&E meter transfer time was so fast, it even surprised the Liberty Solar consultant!

Most importantly, it's rare to be entreated well when in money dealings these days. I couldn't be more satisfied with the expertise, service, and actual care that Liberty provided, and continues to provide now months after the install. A group of excellent team members: Alvin, Bar, and Chad that catered to my needs! I highly recommend Liberty Solar to anyone even thinking about going solar. A job well done!

It is truly a pleasure to do business in this day and age with a professional organization that is family owned and local. Liberty Solar were prompt on their appointment, installed in matter of days!!! While other companies ,who were way more expensive, could set an installation for minimum of 8 weeks from the day I contacted them. Chad is a true professional. Helpful and patient with his explanation of what was needed. Any questions were answered by the owners themselves. Of course they were more than competitive. I was fortunate to get additional discount by using their referral program. My bill won't due until the end of next year! Thanks again to Chad and Bar for their help and it always feels good to support a local business!

Best Solar, Roofing, HVAC company ever. I purchased solar through Liberty Bay Solar first. What impressed me was they did an entire assessment of my home, going through electric bills, looking at my AC unit, Heater and Paint. They made recommendations based on the information I provided and it all worked out. I purchased the Solar and quickly my bill went from average 160 to a credit of 20. I needed an AC unit and they installed that as well. Great staff, great service, great products you’ll be very happy with this company!

I chose this company due to the overwhelming positive reviews. It is clear you can’t believe them. I’d be surprised if this review gets posted. This company is currently rated C+ with the Better Business Bureau.

The owner of the company, Chad Garnon, is unresponsive, as was pointed out in a BBB listed complaint and as I’ve experienced. I’m currently having a problem with one of the optimizers and Chad still has not returned my text messages to him. I’ve been trying to reach him for 7 weeks now. I now have to give up and have another company look into the issue.

Previous issues also took months to resolve, but fortunately they eventually were resolved. If you plan to hire him, you’ll need plenty of patience. Good luck!

We had personal contact from the start, and Chad sat with us and answered every question (and we had many) patiently and in a manner that was very clear. Work was done promptly, and we were being regularly updated as to schedules, so we were never left wondering when they would be coming out. The installers were personable and kept us informed as to their progress. Finally, the system has performed just as predicted. We are happy to recommend Liberty Solar.
