Gas bill was outrageous. They didnt knock the first time they came out to turn on gas and left a note saying we werent home after we waited all day. Had to get them to come back out.... few days later... gas bill kept going up and up. Had them to check for leak. They walked around outside and left. We requested it to be turned off and they showed up at 7:30am the next morning. Worst service ever. Customer service is a big joke. Still mad about a bill $300 plus when we hardly used it at all.

Spire isn’t a reputable company. I’ve always paid between $20 to $45 for gas even when it was terribly cold. All of a sudden, this Jan. I was billed $153 and this company couldn’t give me a justifiable reason for the ridiculous spike in my bill or than referring me to the same meter that has consistently generated bills between $20 - $45 with Alagasco. This practice by Spire is bogus and unethical. Their so called customer care number doesn’t even have the option to talk to a representative, you have to press the line for setting up service in order to speak to a live person.

The people in office tell one lie after another.
I was told to pay $100,that was lie. I was told@4:12 they where closed, that was a lie. called back and was told all my bill had to be paid, that was a lie.
So I had to pay$100 then$42.17 or my Services would be cutoff. Bad training and poor management.. Use propane or electric cause this company doesn't have it together.

I financed a furnace through AlagasCo and it was on auto pay. I wasn't told by Freedom Heating and Air that Alagasco would put a lien on my home or I would never has agreed to finance. The balance was paid off long ago with auto pay and no missed payment. I applied for a loan to refinance my home and the lien is showed up so they show no clear title. I am furious as the bank is showing a denial becuase of no clear title. Do not finance with Alagasco/Spire if you don't want a lien filed on your property. The peoples there have not been very helpful.
