This is an obvious breach in the pristine ecological system of once has been beautiful corner of Californian sea shore, now dramatically polluted and dangerous to lives. Isn't this a small threat when your children play at radioactive send! ?
Just read the roster of contaminated fish species and ask why they are so contaminated!

A polluting power plant right in the middle of perfect beaches. We do need electricity but they don't belong within the city limit. The worst part is that people paying millions of dollars to live nearby. So much ignorance in this country about health hazards from pollution!

This place has been there longer than any of you have been alive. Moving next to a something objjectionable then complaining about it is just dumb. It's like moving next to an airport then complaining about the noise... stupid. Furthermore, if this place is polluting so much how come the waters of Santa Monica bay consistently recieve high marks of being clean. You whiners and bellyachers need to educate yourselves and/or move away.

These plants came before you and your ancestors, they work with water from the sea and produce energy, with which they live their miserable lives. If they go to the desert, people build around them, years go by and then they complain about pollution. when you don't have electricity it's your fault, not the city's.

If you need electricity, this is a good place to get it. Locally made, not imported. However, sometimes there are sirens and weird sounds coming from the plant.
